It was expected. Julian Assange is basically trying to say "because Manning isn't being released immediately" he isn't technically going back on his so-called promise. I lost respect for him ages ago, though. He's the type that's more concerned about himself than any type of "leaks" that WikiLeaks can push out at any given time. Assange is pretty much the leftist snowflake mentality that the conservatives get worked up about the most; he thinks he's untouchable, that he can defy any law and get away with it, and doesn't answer to anyone.

Hes been locked up for 5 years with guns pointed at him. Hes probably going partly nuts.

Yes he has, no idea why he would say something so stupid.
So many people in the federal government would like nothing more than to see someone like him rot in Gitmo, those in power don't like their dirty laundry being aired out for the public to see.
