You're not understanding. Did you watch the links I provided?

Addiction is a problem, even with video games. However, someone with a drinking problem doesn't get diagnosed with OCD. C'mon now. Your preconception of OCD is both very wrong and inaccurate.

Addiction is not what Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is. OCD is not defined by addictive behaviors in any way. Obessive, yes--addictive, no. You aren't grasping this.

"some form of ocd" .. i guess you got "Addiction is OCD" out of it ..

I didn't say anything about addiction either.. i said "obsession"

obsession vs addiction

can gaming be an obsession? -- like those with the constant need of having the controller in their hands or spend a certain hours playing or unlock # of trophies etc for fear of losing their stats/skills etc.. or reach a certain rank. to be able to collect certain game items....

when they introduced trophies and achievement in games.. the are people who will spend countless hours trying to get those virtual trophies/achievements etc.. to the point that they are obsessed with it..

trophies hunting.. imo is similar to hoarding..but again it's just my opinion here..

That's also more of an addiction. That's my point though, you're mistaking obsessive for addictive.
