I was so excited when I got gear VR and love watching movies and shows because it feels like you are in your own personal theater, with a massive screen. Unlike most of the videos on the Internet and Netflix, Crunchyroll is entirely incompatible with gear VR's web browser and doesn't have an app for the platform. This is annoying and upsetting. I really hope this changes soon. Am I missing something? Is there some massive development effort required to make your website compatible with modern web browsers? Someone else is going to make an anime VR app or VR browser compatible website and give you a run for your money.

CR only just launched a beta HTML5 web player for Premium+ members, so unless the Gear VR browser has a Flash plugin available, video playback won't work on the device.

If CR removed the majority of Smart TV apps due to low usage, it's unlikely that a device like the Gear VR has a large enough install base to justify a company like CR to develop and maintain an app for the device, and expect it to add subscribers who otherwise wouldn't be paying members.
