All that sweet talking and they won't just be sharing life, but making some .

It's interesting enough I think and having both episodes together made for a better first impression. While nothing original I did like the style of animation.

I am quite sure they're going to have trouble bringing the season to a proper end if they only have 14 episodes to work with.

They took 2 episodes to deal with the first island, and as someone who has played the game (I will spoil as little as possible) that's just one of many out there.

If there's 14 episodes and they each take 2 episodes, that's seven islands. That's not nearly enough for closure and the place I think they will end on is extremely irrelevant to the story at large.

Well episode 1-2 is pretty much an intro and besides the adaptation doesn't have to be an exact copy of the game

And now the show is back to continue the story that started in January.

Episode 3

While Gran and company got off to the sky, the run into problems right off the bat as without a helmsman they aren't exactly going to get far on their journey. So they crash land onto an island where the town of Port Breeze is and they are in need of repairs or a new ship. They are quite lucky to run into Rackam, who could serve as their helmsman, but they run into trouble when the Empire appears out of nowhere to get Katalina, and Furias is willing to go far as to blow up the island to make it happen. Pretty intense stuff is about to go down here as the three try and escape this island. Rackam sure did show that brat who's boss.

Man, that brat at the end of the episode gave me the nerves. What a douche.

So glad Rackam sniped that chair and made his ass fall off. Well I'm glad to see the show return with actual new content but the episode felt...kinda underwhelming.

I think this season is meant to introduce the whole party of the guys on Grans side.

And yeah, that little harvin general was a douche. Outright shanked his soldier with no remorse, what a fucker.

More super solid yet very familiar fare here. Definitely still enjoying it so far. Sturm was cool and as a long time DragonLance fan I can appreciate the name.

Nice to see Kefka appear at the end though he's a little shorter than I remember him being.

I kind of wish Rackam had aimed for the head. I don't like cliche little royalty twerps. Especially ones that sit on thrones (in the middle of a field?)

Not much (not any) real plot development here, it was just run from one thing run from another and meet new characters. I figured the Empire baddies showed up as a foil to get the four of them onto the airship. Regardless, this is one very lovely looking anime. All the characters look sharp and are so well designed (although they could be nice and give Lyria some more detail, like a nose).

While there's nothing that's really new or original about the anime, I'm still enjoying it. The Empire and villains though can be a bit too much. A little too two-dimensional and exaggerated. And though I'm not expecting any great amount of character originality with any character, I do wish they had toned down those villains just a tad.
