Episode 1

Kasumi is a really happy to enter her first year in high school that she even changes her hair style to have cat ears. We see her meet one of the members of the band Saya and another member who's in her class Rimi. After introductions we see her try out different clubs but in the end can't decide which one to join. Later she happens to follow some stars that lead her to a pawn shop where she meets another member Arisa and finds the star shape guitar. With the help of Arisa she happens to find a place where bands have concerts and decide to stay and listen. This is what will inspire her to start a band and since she already knows two people she already knows who to ask.

It was a nice start and who knows this could turn out to be the next K-on? will keep watching for sure.

So am I the only who noticed the constant butt shots in this anime? No one, no one, ok? it must of been over 20 TIMES!!! I call this musical butt-shot the anime. Anyways I like the visuals and voice acting. 8/10 Music anime's are in the top 5 genre anime's I avoid at all costs, not my thing. Also this anime just rubs me the wrong way, I can't quite put my say how. Maybe I'l come back to it on a later date.

^ ^ ^ Yep, I was wondering myself why we were getting a dog's viewing angle so often.

Episode 1 was blissfully feel-good. However, the plot didn't seem much more than a paint job: all show, no depth. Hope episode 2 wins me over. Certainly wouldn't rank this with K-On just yet...

Given how complicated the eyes of these characters are I'm not surprised they're going for shots that don't involve drawing the faces where ever possible. I remember seeing it used regularly in Lucky Star also and a number of other anime.

My take on ep1 - mostly harmless ticky box checking.

The main character, I don't mind energetic girls but she's just feels she's hyper all the time. I feel like her sister at most times must admit. Don't know if I'll watch this again. I'll wait and see.

Episode 2

Whoa was Kasumi really acting annoying here. She keeps on pestering Arisa to hand her the star-shaped guitar that she has put up for auction and someone is willing to pay 300k yen for it. But in the end, Arisa is convinced that this guitar was meant for Kasumi seeing that she was so determined to get her hands on it. The guitar was damaged due to the malfunctioning case, and in the end Kasumi ended up paying for it convincing Arisa to give it to her. At least Kasumi managed to reach out to Arisa there, but that was irritating to watch all this go down.

Ep2

It takes persistence to wear down a tsundere.

So far it seems like Kasumi will be the only one without any past experience playing. Though if she's just rhythm guitar that won't be a problem. (Waiting to see what trick Saaya pulls out. Being a drummer may seem easy but they set the tempo for the band and a bad one sticks out like a sore thumb.)

Another fun and enjoyable episode. Still nothing super new or never seen before, but it's just really well executed.

Loving the slow build, already deepening the relationships between the bandmates one by one. Good thing this is slated for 25 eps. I liked the way they handled it. Albeit Kasumi being super persistent, it showed Arisa slowly accepting the situation.

Looks like we get Bass girl next ep, and I am pretty curious to see how they get Yamabuki to join (Drummer) since she turned down the initial invitation.

Arisa has a pretty sweet room under that storage shed no wonder she skipped school to get it.

Kasumi is highly annoying, but her dynamic with Arisa was fun to watch.

So far, Tae, the second guitarist hasn't had a line of dialogue. I think she was the attendant at the club in episode 1.

Where other than Mal does it say it's 25 episodes? This season is only 13 episodes long. There are 7 blurays with one episode, number 13, in volume 7, plus some bonus material. 7 BDs, 13 episodes, official site:

On ANO/TAN it is only 13 episodes, ending April 15th.

It would be weird to have a second cour or season of only 12 episodes. I predict a second season of 13 episodes has already been planned out, perhaps even pre-production started. Same formula and producers as LoveLive. Probably a movie already planned as well.
