Trump said right from the beginning that he thought climate change was a hoax. This move of replacing the site with "america first" is pretty much expected. i'm not too sure it's about the money. the guy is a billionaire. a few million dollars he might earn as a result of this change is quite literally pennies to him. maybe he just doesn't believe in science, as he implied for pretty much ever.

as for blaming voters, that's just silly. many people dislike Trump. He just happened to strike a chord for being "anti-establishment"
(whatever that means) and won the election as a result. DNC could have brought a competitive candidate (like sanders cough cough), but instead pushed one that is pretty much the poster-woman of the establishment and rigged against a candidate that would do well against trump. we should really be blaming the DNC for the election outcome. but i guess it's easier to blame voters forced to choose between two potatoes.

There a prime example of why this doesn't work.

Take the clean air act that trump as vowed to reverse. The right scream it killed jobs. No it didn't kill jobs greedy energy executive killed those jobs let me explain. They had almost 2 decages and hundreds of billion of dollars in government grants that tax payer money they didn't have to pay back. Yet did they with the baby soft approach upgrade the older coal fire power plants......HAHAHA no they converted the new plants built a few new ones. While double charging their customer of course via fees on our bills and via the grants. But mostly it went to padding there profits, lobbied for more grants and more time thinking the gravy train would never end. When it did end under Obama they screamed "regulation is killing jobs be scared wooooooooooooo" No you refused.

The point this idea that energy companies will help america for there own sake is pure insanity. Coal is the next whale oil it's on it's way out even by the same energy executives as natural gas is cheaper and more profitable. Oil is next. Plastic are moving away from petroleum, eletric cars as becomeing normal. Even Corn based ethanol is dieing at there dozens of plant that make more and better ethanol. We are proping up indstries that are dieing with Billions while claiming it about puting energy 1st. Meanwhile solar has now become a cheaper energy source then fossial fuels though years of devolopment. Which China is leading the way in.

Don't forget he completely deleted the page on LBGT Rights and Veteran Issues! Who cares about LGBT or Veterans anyway... right? Right..?

New administration, new website. How do you know that they are not updating the entire server?

Yes, I'm sure they'll be joining their former republican coworkers to compete for all those administrative jobs illegals seem to keep popping up in.

Those jobs are all being automated now, they will have to find another line of work. Wait! They can get jobs helping to build the border wall!
Some hard labor would perfect for ex-government workers.

I'll agree with some of this statement. One thing that "erks" me are those governmental workers who barely do anything and get into their "cozy" position through knowing someone (and being under qualified) or when we're paying contractors 150% or more of the national average for that exact role/position. Growing up in the DMV area, I was told endlessly by both Democrats and Republicans to "get a job in the government, you can't get fired and you'll always have a good salary". My great aunt (rather extreme-conservative who immigrated from Europe about 40 years ago) even forced me to get security clearance because she felt it was more than important for someone who lived in the area.

I will admit that I have continued to renew said security clearance - mostly in part with the fact that I do some work for the government (the difference is that the company I work for charges them the exact same amount as any other company/client). I think if we killed the salary of all government employees and contractors by 20-40% .. it would save the government a quite a lot of money in the long run.

As for the website...
I think too many people are freaking out about nothing right now. It's been less than a week and people are getting snazzy about what's been removed or added onto the website. Do we even need to go over how long it took to get most of the details on "Healthcare.gov" to work correctly? Website management takes time, especially when you have to make sure that things are "approved" by someone you can't directly speak to (which I'm going to assume is the case - the webdev likely doesn't speak to Trump directly but gets given specific statements to put onto the site). It's more sensible to purge all of the former administration's policies that are listed on the website and slowly build up to your own - than to leave them up, give a faux impression (which, I'm sure people would flip out about if that were the case too), and confuse people. The absence of data doesn't mean that it won't be there.

Though, the energy page does seem to be a "replacement" for Obama's global warming page at first blush. I'm still going to hold criticism of his website until it feels more completed.

For the record I feel the Republican Party is the party more willing to compromise when they are in power.

Well... people did try to claim that the world was ending. This event may have unlocked the last gate needed to begin the end.

HAHAHAHAHAH Good one! The government doesn't shrink under Republicans. I will be pleasantly surprised if he is able to do this.

Oh wait. He literally can't. Only congress can.
