Same here. Wouldn't work on Android app, either. Haven't tested my iPod Touch, but I honestly don't even like using the thing. I only have it because of work.

Mayhaps we'll have to include a separate full-body character for Error 500, aside from Hime-chan. This is downright annoying.

Any network admin could tell you that, occasionally, a huge influx of traffic isn't something you can easily "just fix".

Look, mayhaps you have a high tolerance for lags that occur weekly (and if you look around, you'll find that others suffer em daily). But just like you, I pay my membership, and expect good service. When you have to press the damn Refresh button many times just to get to one menu or even view an episode (you'd be even lucky if you can even watch an entire one without freezing), I have every right just as much as the others here to be as miffed. So please, alright? I aint expecting for a 5-star over-the-top quality, but at least for things to work, especially on times when I've finally got a break from work.

If you're okay with paying while getting poor service, then good for you. But I sure am not just gonna sit here and not say anything.

I get excellent service, so I don't know what you're talking about there. Maybe I just don't watch around the time that CR bogs down on Saturdays. The worst I get is the website being a bit daft. I was simply saying that "just fix it" isn't always simple in a way that wouldn't piss people off. The only simple fix would be to put the offending content, the stuff that's likely bringing in lots of ad revenue from non paying customers, behind a pay wall.

Hence why I've been saying, for quite some time now, that the weekly new Dragon Ball Super episode needs to be put behind a paywall; if not a week, then at least 24- 48 hours time. That would address both sides of the problem, simultaneously: It would lower the strain on the bandwidth, & also the influx of additional $$$ would allow Crunchyroll to increase the size of their bandwidth.

I would personally like to know how many servers they have, are they geographically based to balance server-load, & are they using T-1, T-3, or even T-5 pipes.

That's pretty much the only "simple fix", and it really isn't one that would make the most people happy. If they have 1m paying, they have at least ten times that not paying.

Looks like CR crashed for several hours (at least for me) again around the same time when Dragon Ball Super is out. It's always around that time...

It is a popular show that people flock to watch. @CronoT has the best solution.

Anyone who was heavy into the torrenting scene back when Kazaa was still popular about 10 or so years ago is well familiar with seeders vs leechers. Ad revenue just doesn't cut it. If it did, Hulu wouldn't have two different pay tiers, one with ads & one without ads.

So you would rather watching RIGHT NOW in Japanese then wait for subs? Unfortunatly I do not understand the language.

*heavy sigh*

The live streams on YouTube are from other sources that show the episode with subtitles. Another outfit translates & time codes the dialogue. Crunchyroll just pays to be able to stream it.

It's so frustrating. Since January I only have Saturday night to watch most of the anime I want to watch but I can't because of a show which isn't even available in my country .
Does anybody know when DBS ends?
