Then you support anarchy. Not the idea that most people get when they hear the word anarchy, mayhem and chaos, but essentially tribal governance. A group of elected individuals that decide the course of action for the tribe. No one is chief in charge. Anyone can forward proposals that will direct the path and progress of the tribe.

I use the word tribe, but you can substitute, collective, if you wish.

The only trouble with anarchy is that it only works for small collectives or tribes, and will mean the dissolution of a country, nation state, in order to facilitate, hundreds of thousands of collectives and or tribes.

These collectives and or tribes will then have to negotiate trade deals, water access deals, trade route deals, etc, etc, etc, with other collectives or tribes in order to survive, or they could just engage in tribal warfare to get what they need....

Again just because I lost faith in a particular thing, in this case organised governance does not mean I automatically support it's polar opposite . I know we are all squabbling children and unfit to any kind of ruler ship be it a crown on our heads to an elected office. I also know and you've pointed this out yourself the other choice is not a viable one. So really I may have lost any kind of faith in the current generation and all the past generations ability to rule themselves I can't throw out the concept of organised governance since some one has to be in charge. Regardless of his or her competence in the matter.

After all despite all the collective incompetence humanity is still around. And children become adult after a time. Whether I'll live to see that day is something else entirely.

In other words we all agree that plebeians should never be in charge of anything important and that a materialistic society is dangerous? Those are Fascist ideals, but not limited to fascism.

One of my favorite quotes that summarizes it is: Seek freedom and become enslaved to your desires. Seek discipline and you will have your liberty.

Actually those are socialist ideals, that fascists just copy and pasted into their doctrine lazy bastards that they are. And I am actually saying no one is fit to be in charge of anything big or small. We are all squabbling children unfit to even be in charge of dressing ourselves let alone running nation states.

When you say socialism, do you mean Marxism? Because the idea that materialism or hedonism being decadent spurs all the way back to Greek and roman philosophy.

Oh it's not that. I have multiple images of saints, and sometimes it gets confusing when the art style is very similar @[email protected]

I knew it was St John by the crazy hair.
I need an icon of him for my wall. I like collecting Orthodox icons.

Nope. I'm Catholic.
I like attending the Divine Liturgy whenever possible at a local Eastern Catholic parish.
