Now I know that crunchyroll gives support to anime creators and all, but is it worth it? I have had premium account on crunchyroll for at least 2 years and I don't find myself on here as often due to the insane lack of anime crunchyroll has. I'm paying to watch anime on crunchyroll but I can just watch it on some other websites that I will not name because it is against the rules. In all honesty, I feel like I am wasting money paying for crunchyroll when most of the anime I watch are not even on here. I basically purchased crunchyroll because I really enjoy anime and wanted to support creators (and I still do) but since I am not made of money, I am torn on my decision with crunchyroll as a whole. Anyone else have this feeling or is it just me?

Depends on what country you are located in (how many titles you can actually view), versus how much you are willing to put up with sketchy virus infested/spam/low quality websites. Look, if I want to watch something that nobody has licensed I'll venture out to the unknown as well That being said, things are getting better around here, with the Funimation/CR partnership the number of websites in which you need use to find anime you want to watch is in the process of being reduced. Also, not sure about you, but fan subs drop random swear words and other crap into their releases, while I put up with it before CR really was a thing, I'd never go back.

It's also nice to actually watch stuff in 1080p and watch simulcasts the minute they come out.
CR is pretty cheap compared to other streaming services and even if a given anime season isn't great I keep finding more hidden gems in their older anime catalog.

It's also a cheaper way to support the creators than say collecting a large amounts of DVDs and Blu Rays, which seems to be an expensive hobby I cannot easily give up, gotta collect them all (well except Aniplex titles, of course I ain't Bill Gates you know?)

Very few companies out there that try to actively bring anime to the west. CR does a good job at this, and while I personally don't pay for a membership the week wait and ads do not bother me all the much as I just watch up on what was from the previous season.

I feel if you like anime you should contribute to some extent be it ad revenue, buying the manga of shows you really enjoy, or buying the anime on release (my personal choice) . CR gives you a good bit of options to contribute if one format isn't to your liking. If you go for a yearly plan it's really not that bad about the cost of 1 new anime on release so there is that. I prefer physical media as I collect it but still plenty of options available for anyone.

They do a good job of keeping the online store in stock with a variety of items (I personally speculate they use Rightstuff as a fulfillment center along with Sentai Films). The only real gripe I hear about the CR store is their prices could be a little more competitive but they are a middle man I guess so they have to make something out of it.
