Hi there,

Since updating my NVidia Shield TV, Shield Experience 5.0.2 which is now running on Android Nougat 7, episodes don't seem to start off in high def anymore.

It looks like adaptive bitrate is being used so after ~5-9 seconds the quality changes to high but its quite annoying starting with fuzzy subs/picture quality

Has it always been like this, or is it worse with Android 7? Screenshots attached showing how the ep starts off with terrible quality: http://imgur.com/a/x6vdb

On a 65" screen it looks horrible, providing the ability to set quality manually would be appreciated

All of the apps, as well as the beta HTML5 player, use adaptive streaming for playback.

Interesting, it never did that prior to upgrading to android 7

With iOS you can set quality to high, as opposed to auto, so that would be nice for android as well
