Well the way things are going, Chernin will probably buy Funimation as well. What will Crunchyroll do? Probably remain a little subsidiary that continues to fund unrelated projects that don't necessarily affect Crunchyroll users. AKA- par the course of the last 3 years.

I believe that's actually true though. I think I read somewhere that they lost a third of their subscriber base since 2014 or something. But I don't recall where I read it....If it was just here on the forums I suppose that could potentially be a bit uncredible

They are sharing profits. You need to look into it.

Why are you capitalizing every word (then you decided to stop for a bit and then resume)? If your main language is not English, capitalizing each word is not proper.

As for the main discussion, I don't think Crunchyroll is losing customers at all. Funimation is sticking to English dubbed content mostly, so Crunchyroll will not lose any customers to them.

Think it's MORE a case of Funi grabbing up and cornering the market on the overexposed mainstream hit dub series (like Titan or AssClass), while the lesser-known new simulcasts haven't delivered--
And then, of course, pimping their dubs out on Netflix and Hulu, and everywhere that mainstream non-CR subscribers can get a taste of them.

But the new shared partnership system, of Funi basically letting CR do all their subtitled-only streaming for them, may be too recent to crunch the numbers. We shall see.

I doubt it. All the competitors in my region have tiny catalogues and Netflix is the only one with a decent interface. There might be some serious competition in France, Germany, UK and Australia though. But I reckon that still leaves a huge chunk of world for CR...

Maybe in other countries, but for simulcasts CR still dominates the US market and with the Funi partnership they basically have a monopoly now.

We do?

Last I heard they had 800,000 paying subscribers which is up from 600,000 a couple years ago.
