this thread in a nutshell:

A: guys! come see here! someone was able to sneek into the GOP meeting.
B: wow cool!

A: he was able to record the meeting and
B: and..? *high expectation*

A: it turns out they are trying to get rid of Obamacare!
B: ...like they said they would..? this is newsworthy because..?

A: don't you see?! they said leaks are "unacceptable". the hypocrisy!
B are they supposed to say to the press that leak is very much ok with them?

A: well no, but.
B: isn't this how politics work?

A: yes, but...that's an excuse!
B: sigh...

can i have my 5 minutes back? >.>

Just waiting for that one person who will go and blame the Russian's, lmao.

Putin personally attended while hiding in plain sight. He recorded everything there then raided their fridge and left to go spy on the democrats next. Putin the worlds only remaining super spy.

I find it sad and funny at how the many right winger here keep ignoreing what was said and what it means. Instead redefining it at a broad "get rid of ACA". That way they can continue on ignoreing how much they have been used. That the Gop played them. That they never really cared about ACA it was propaganda to get you to freak out and vote for them. That now that it's a to quote them "A loaded gun" they don't have a clue what to do. They can't just repeal because then they will own the wreak that left and they have no plan to replace. There only hope is to stall and hope you forget.

That's harsh... So was the point of the thread to really just compare the acts of republicans to democrats? I mean it's kind of petty.

Eh? That's.....like literally all we do on this forum. Most the time I am getting any number of insults thrown in my face for being "liberal" and tossed in with Democrats and Hillary no matter what I say or do. While the forum is awash with political shit posting of the alt right variety.

And you're going to say its petty that after 5 years on the site I have created all of 2 threads? -.-

republicans didn't need to rely on an anti-ACA propaganda. Hillary did all the work for them, through wikileaks. you should give credit where it's due.

Well it is if we're honest. :/

The warring states are prone to gross generalizations but fuck it, you do you. That is to say you are one of the more thoughtful posters here. But I get it if you want to post a few "ha gotcha" threads. You have plenty of material that's for sure.

I honestly avoid it normally, hence the 5 year record, but none of what's going on is normal anymore. I mean, craps flying out of the White House faster than we ( or anyone else ) can react to and discuss it. Which is probably part of the plan. You can't even catch your breath before the next thing and inevitably some really important issues that need media attention slip under the radar.

So yeah, you'll forgive me if this came across as a gotcha thread. Like I said I am more interested in the contents here but the hypocrisy is pretty facepalming. Then the usual suspects crawled out to argue just for the sake of arguing.

In my defense I did point out that there were Republicans that saw this coming and warned their colleagues. And there are still Republicans now that are opposing Trump and the immigration ban. Unfortunately, they're the minority and the majority of Republicans have simply gone silent on the issue.

Right now, there are 35 senators opposing/critical, 53 supporting and 204 staying silent. Among those opposing are McCain and Graham.

Interestingly, the bulk of the support is coming from the House with little support in the Senate.

Um...

Well I know every democrat will fight it in the House and Senate. It's a non-issue in the House where the GOP almost has a supermajority but in the Senate there advantage it's slight. All it would take is 3 to turncoat or even abstain in order to ruin their plans.
