I never owned any anime on VHS due to the lack of popularity in the UK, but I certainly still have some really old and obscure movies. I think me and my older sibling owned a DBZ VHS, that's about it really. it really freaks me out knowing that America has a channel that plays anime on the regular and the UK does not - they used to air on Cartoon Network (DBZ, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! ... maybe a bit of Digimon).

The first and only anime I ever owned on VHS was called Windaria. Not a series but a movie. I've watched a few on VHS via rentals but this was the only one I ever owned. Still have it too, but can't watch it...no longer have a functional VHS player. And so it sits in a box with a bunch of other VHS movies and shows.

Anyone remember when Sci-fi aired anime movies? Also, I think it was either TBS or TNT that aired Monster Vision, and I remember watching Lilly Cat on that.

Yes and I still have no idea what many of them were because I would miss the beginning etc.

I had my mom wake me up every morning at 6am just to watch Dragon Ball off my local whatever affiliate. It always got to the point when Goku turned great ape then started over. This was way before Cartoon Network got a hold of DBZ.

.

I remember switching to watching in Spanish on Telemundo? Because they went further in the story or was it they played the older Dragonball episodes.

One of the neat things about growing up in Canada was the anime they had on the French Channel; Albator (Captain Harlock), Cities of Gold, Anne of Green Gables, Three Muskateers (It was years before I realized Aramis wasn't supposed to be a woman)

My first anime VHS tapes were 2 Sailor Moon S tapes and a few Pokemon tapes, so I guess that counts?

Good day! I am going to be 21 in 5 days! Hee hee! I can't wait to drink away the pain of existing in a world of nothing, but endless turmoil! Nya~!

I'm old in the way were I have VHS of Mumfy the Elephant and DVDs with 3D glasses in them. My first ever anime that I KNEW was anime was Gravitation. Also my first BL~! Back then, I didn't know what happened to the characters exactly, but boy oh boy, do I do now! .... I sure do now..... OH! I also still have my N64! Diddy Kong Racing, Golden Eye, and Ocarina. Also the snowboarding one with RICKY WINTERBORN!!

I love the old style of music from the 1920s to the 1940s. It's so real... Original... There's nothing like it. I'm an old soul, hopeless romantic, fujoshi looking for other 'fu' types to have fun with. Message me if you want!

The only one I remember from Monster Vision was Vampire Hunter D.

As for Sci-fi, they had a bunch. Robot Carnival, Project A-ko, Tank Police, Record of Lodoss War and a bunch of other stuff I watched at a kid...

Now that I think about it, I probably shouldn't have watched some of that stuff as a kid...
