Another Tribalist! :

For someone who calls themselves an American you sure do have an un-American view about how how foreigners should conduct free speech.

The point is you talk and act as though you have the right to tell Americans how to run their country. AND YOU DON'T. Just As Americans have no right to tell Canucks how to run theirs. Voicing an opinion is one thing. Calling us names, denigrating us, dismissing our views, and telling us what to do is another.

Oh, and about that tribalist comment, That's why we voted President Trump in. To secure our boarders and and enforce immigration laws.

What you mean like how American's do the same exact thing when talking about the Chinese and Russians?

And you miss-interpreted my tribalist comment entirely. It was actually about the us vs. them mentality within American borders. Not outside of our own walls. A tribalist sees their group as infallible and the opponent as completely flawed. IE disagreeing with your freedom to voice your own opinion because it clashes with the ever changing group think of the day.

The very same way you Canadians have been ripping into us Americans who voted for President Trump, because our opinions does not match with your liberal group-think.

Yeah. No. I didn't mis-understand nothing. I got you loud and clear.

I'm not Canadian... So there is that. I've lived in America my whole life.

And if you think I merely hate Trump because stupid Liberals don't understand the full gravity issues I assure you, you're very wrong. I hate Trump on a basis of ethics and baseless economics alone.

The guys idea of economic brilliance is billion dollar walls that serve no purpose, insulting other countries, and banning muslims. His entire playbook is correlation without causation on generalizations alone. And his advisor (Mr. Alt Right Voice) is one of the forbearers of such idiotic thinking.

Well, the way you kept saying, "You Americans..." It made sound like you wasn't one of us....

Yes, I saw the news. But to borrow a phrase going around: What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

Can we just take a moment to admire the fact he assumed you were Canadian simply because you didn't agree with him? -.-

What was going to be a speech about taking money from "sanctuary" colleges, followed by a discussion, turned

from that into a riot that prevented such a discussion from occurring. Ironic since UC Berkley was a founder

of free speech movement in the 1960's and 1970's. Violence to stop speech coming increasingly from liberals
acting as the fascists and communists of old.

I was told to just, "Ask people who lived under communism what just happened."

Most of the protesters were not students but outside agitators. Not that I feel sympathy for Yiannopoulos, who is an idiot, but let the guy speak.

I find it distasteful that Trump threatened no federal funding considering most students did not partake and most protesters were not students.

Also, the founder of CR made the site while studying at UC Berkeley.

I find myself less than convinced of outside agency, without student cooperation, in the protest. I would find

this behavior against free speech to be more in line with my own experiences with communism.

There probably were some students in it. I am not saying that, but to say a significant number of protesters were students is hardly the truth. This shit happens all the time.
