I know we all have our views ( right and wrong) concerning Islam and it's followers. But to equate them all with the terrorists we've fought in the Middle East and beyond for longer then some of us have been alive is an act that itself can only be called terrorism itself. To then turn violence upon innocent members of any group religious or otherwise simply because some terrorist group ( falsely) claim themselves members of that group is an act worth the maximum punishment allowed under law.

Mr. Alexandre Bissonnette you are lucky your inhuman breach of all things right and legal occurred in Canada and you yourself are a citizen of Canada. Other places would not be so kind in your sentencing.

That being said I will not concern myself with your trial for that is a matter for the courts. But I will not lie and say I did not wish your punishment was in my hands. For you make a mockery of this great country and it's ideals and past deeds.

I will simply give my prayers and hopes to the families who lost their loved ones when you decided to betray everything this country stands for.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.

I agree, sentencing them under the law is the correct course of action. Otherwise, how are any of us any better? Revenge isn't justice. Denying justice makes a mockery of what we aim for, because it means we are willing to be just like those we supposedly are against. If we're no different.. why are we fighting?

Ditto.

This was a horrible and needless act of violence that nobody should ever commit or have to experience. My only hope is that this terrorist faces justice and that the families of the victims of this attack receive proper care.

A white supremacist carried out this attack. People were right to call it a terrorist attack.

may the victims rest in peace. hopefully justice delivers a strong punishment to prevent similar acts of terrorism from happening ever again.
