So he talks the talk but then goes to Rome to hide behind his walls? How many of you think he is a hypocrite?

I'm about as anti-religion as a person can get, but I think this most recent pope has been an awesome success.

Also, if you can't see the difference between building a wall to keep people out, and "sleeping comfortably and safely behind his own wall" then I don't know what to tell you because you obviously can't use basic logic. Are we supposed to be angry that the pope isn't some random homeless guy sleeping on the streets?

Lots of examples of holy men in the Bible that built walls to keep their people safe.... Does that mean they were unholy men, Pope Francis? How about the previous popes who built Vatican City, they built a fortress wall around it to keep the city safe. Does that mean they were not Christians?

His metaphor sucks.

Besides, Trump's wall will have many doors, for legal immigration to occur. It's not just a plain wall. There will be lots of gates all along it - with boarder patrol agents checking visas and green cards and passports of people coming in.

I mean he's acting like anti-home invasion efforts is the same thing as stopping people from immigrating to your country on controversial(and possibly racist) basis's

Things MysteryMiss apparently does not understand:

Obvious differences between decreasing the number of refugees being admitted to a country and a blanket ban of all people who have ever come from multiple countries

Safe spaces

The pope

The Pope's wall--leaving aside security, given the number of people who actually have tried to shoot his predecessors--is to establish the Vatican City as an independent internationally non-partisan political state, and not technically Part of Rome, Italy.

It's not meant to keep nasty Italian rapists and murders from attacking our poor nuns and taking jobs away from our working Cardinals...No, seriously, we love our Roman citizens, some of them are good people, and I love Italian food, so it's all good! We do it with love (and Christian charity)!
