So, I've been happily consuming gigabytes of anime for months with no problems whatsoever as a Premium member. I have a Nexus 7 (2012) Android tablet. Nothing has changed on my tablet, but I'm suddenly experiencing two distinct issues:

1. Sometimes I tap on a video, the little loading circle shows up for a few seconds and then... nothing. As if I never tried to open a video. This seems to occur only sporadically, and is not consistently repeatable.
2. Often (like 95% of the time for the last week or so), I will select a video and it will start playing for between 19 and 21 seconds before I get an error- "There was a problem playing the video. Please try again, or contact support if the problem persists" BACK RETRY

Selecting "Back" simply takes you back to the main Crunchyroll menu. Hitting "Retry" repeatedly- sometimes dozens of times- may eventually result in the video progressing. It will likely fail with the above error before the entire episode completes, though this seems random. Some of the time, once I get past the "20-second moment of death", it plays all the way to the end. Maybe 80% of the time.

So I cleared my cache, uninstalled, reinstalled, tried it for several nights as a non-Member (also of note, the commercials never had any issues playing OVER and OVER and OVER), and the behavior was the same no matter what I tried.

Oh, other fact about my usage- I only watch at night. Usually after 9:00 EST. Also, I read someone suggesting this is the result of a DDoS attack, and unless Crunchyroll segregates Android traffic to specific servers it doesn't protect the same as all its other servers... well, let's just say I think that's a load of bunk and leave it at that.

SOMETHING is going quite wrong. I cannot say myself if it only affects Android. I can certainly say it is affecting me, and it appears unrelated to anything on my end (especially since I'm not the only one affected). Could some intrepid administrator please identify the root cause of this problem and address it? Pretty please? I'm inclined to believe that one of you changed something.

Something changed. Somewhere. It wasn't the app itself, I don't believe. And I know my network didn't change. That leaves few other possibilities besides Crunchroll's servers. Just sayin'.
