what's going on here ?

also.. do low rolling resistance tires are noisy than performance tires ?

that is weird that many miles in less than 2 weeks..

tires can also contribute to cabin noise problem and those fuel efficiency tires will just make it worst

the oil change interval is a lot longer now a day 7,500-15,000 miles.. even for severe condition it's still 5000 miles

i would too.

change struts, brakes, fuel filter (in tank), etc.. are something i can do but

i don't have the tools to even consider doing major works on the cars. if i have to replace the engine or transmission.. it's time to just get a new car

I'm curious about this part from the manual

break in period.. how important is it ?

i drove the car on the freeway on the way back from the dealer... so the speed was set at 70mph for about 40 minutes.. before i got around to read the manual..

i know some car owners who will change the oil a few times during the break in period.. personally? i think it's wasteful

just follow the owner manual and take it easy during the first 600-1000 miles

if you only plan to keep the car for 3-4 years then it's not really a problem anyway.. so be as hard on the car as you like and just pass the used car problems to the next owner

what? multiple oil change during within the first 600 miles? it is a waste of money

speaking of oil

Mobil 1 had a sale a few days ago

i don't think oil will expire right ? so it's ok to stock up .. i don't know about all the Mazda cars but Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 both use 0W-20

when the original engine is better than replacement engine .. it's all up to the owner of the car

the engine on the right looks like they didn't change the oil as often

the oil change internal for new cars now a day is 5000 miles (for severe conditions) if not 7500 miles

if you are using extended performance oil then 10000-15000 miles - which is pretty much 1 year

if you have a new car and still following the 3000 mile oil change interval.. you are getting ripped off

modern cars don't really have space to put this in anymore..

btw. you heard of the Police hybrid car ?

this will cost more for tax payers

i think the sedan alone is around 45K-ish (fully equipped).. switching to hybrid i'm guessing it will be 55-60K each ?
