A teacher of mine in high school liked to say that you remember roughly 25% of what you read, 50% of what you hear, 75% of what you write and nearly everything you do. Of course, he also used to say, "No marks, no witnesses," was the golden rule of teaching.

At any rate, typing is far faster for me but, since I was an engineering major, I took notes by hand. They frequently required sketching or writing formulas and tablets/laptops at the time just weren't up to the task.

Haha people in work look at me with a confused look, as I'm a developer and Technical Analyst and I write notes xD, something about writing something makes in stick in my head more.... properly because I type so much, writing becomes unique to my day and so the information by proxy is also unique and stuck in my head.

I type them, because I like them to be available everywhere where I go, without having to carry something else, but my phone.

Additionally, having them digitalized has a lot of advantages, one of those advantages is that it will be easier to organize them in the way I want, like for example in lists, trees, queues, and so on; another advantage is that if I need to find something, the search will be faster and easier.

It's funny because I'm a super fast typer and I hate writing, but when it comes to taking notes, I write.

It may have something to do with taking my laptop feeling like such a burden. Although I do have a backpack specifically made to fit my laptop and oboe case... I just feel like I'd also need my laptop plugged in since it dies so quick, which is, of course, a whole 'nother issue.

I usually prefer writing them. More ' personal ' that way.

I prefer typing. Threatening typewritten notes dipped in anthrax powder gives authority figures something to ponder versus same written in legible cursive handwriting which gives them someone to pursue.........................................or not.

Well, it is not really my area, but, if I hypothetically decide to do that, will I be free of all taxes? Hypothetically speaking.

Doubtful.......possibly, if you finesse the numbers that define your chronological age (i.e., lie) you might be entitled to a senior discount. Whaddaya think?
