That said I think health care should be a right and there should be less red tape around nations and companies researching treatments.

I think it's dreadful how drugs that are shown to be effective in other countries are barred by the FDA and how if you are poor the only treatment you can expect to get is morphine when the pain becomes unbearable.

I think that motto should be changed to "Together let's continue to beat and abuse ourselves while we wait for the glorious day science saves us!"

Funny that you mention that.

Sadly society is more reactive than proactive. But you are absolutely right.

I've had cancer. Twice. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

I wasn't wishing cancer on anyone, but rather was using the common term "Cancer" as brought to us by 4chan. Hence, the sentence, "you all give me cancer", not "I wish you all had cancer."

I am sorry if I offended you. :(

Yes, I know the meme.

I'm fairly sure you know the reality as well.

Still finding this 4chan garbage amusing?

Considering your posts MysticGon - you should celebrate World Cancer Day by recognizing yourself as such.

Well, everyone finds something amusing. I do wish people would understand that it's not something terribly amusing for those going through it or their friends and family, but hey, not everyone goes through it. Not everyone has family members taken by it. Some folks get to just say "that post gave me cancer" and laugh about how clever they are, just like so many others out there. So in a way, you're quite lucky.

And you don't actually have cancer from this thread, either! Lucky!
