Sacrificing the gameplay over aesthetics and mobility.. No thanks, I have a phone or an iPad I can play games on.

i'm fine sticking with mobile games - the companies actually care about their customers, sometimes even providing great gaming experience under the free to play model (if you don't believe it, just check rhythm games like Love Live School Idol Festival or Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage or a deeply underrated yet great turn-based rpg like Alternative Girls).

i'm also a bit off-put by Nintendo and their policies in regard to switch. Nintendo claims dead pixels are not a defect, so anyone with a few dead pixels stuck in the middle of the screen will have to live with it. i find dead pixels to be very annoying, and would rather not pay $300 and play the dead pixel roulette.

Yes there are several games I want on it but Nintendo doesn't make enough consoles or whatever like always.

I'm going to wait until Story of Seasons will be released to get the Switch.

I will likely want one someday, but right now I'm okay. Super Mario Odyssey looks really great, but otherwise the system has absolutely nothing going for it in the foreseeable future. The "best" games out for it so far are Wii U games. I own a Wii U, and I own those games on my Wii U.

The system itself isn't very compelling. It's weak, like the Wii U. The 3rd party support will vanish, just like it did for the Wii U. And now you're going have to pay for the online. As if Nintendo has ever made an online service even remotely worth paying for. Throwing in temporary NES games won't make it any better, because they're old news. Otherwise, I'd want to play games with the Pro Controller like I did on the Wii U, but it's way too darn expensive.

How in the world is this system being such a success compared to the Wii U? I don't even get it. I don't get it at all.

Waiting. I simply can't afford to right now.
