I know I would probably find more oppertunity if I left but I cant bring myself to leave my home. Also I hate hot weather so the mild climate is perfect for me.

Depends, if you're academic go through the British system then leave. Its my plan, finish up my degree, hope I find a PhD then leave for somewhere that speaks English and is fairly cold.... Dont care about education, not willing to work for anything, seemingly proud of 'not having much money' yet wears horribly expensive clothing. Generally loud and obnoxious, often violent (at-least loud-mouthed about threats of violence). Basically the people who, in 5 years when they grow up an have to move out, will need to learn the phrase 'do you want fries with that'.

Within a 20 mile radius of my town - there are unbelievably distinct changes in the accents. Going from Berwick-upon-Tweed to say Alnwick, is a shocking change in accent for less than 20 miles. The same can be said from Coldstream (it's technically Scotland, but it sits right on the border) and Wooler, which is roughly 11 miles away - you can definitely tell the difference in the accents, they are nothing alike.

Born in New England, raised in Arizona, and then living in Upstate NY deadens the ear to differences in English accents.
