I don't see why one should not give a 10 year old a gun, provided they are properly trained by the parents. I am mostly opposed to the idea of guns in crowded nightclubs that serve alcohol (Except for uniformed Bouncers) and in schools.

Although the stripper thing is infinitely more troubling. Maybe I am just a prude.

I am not sure if businesses have the right to allow or disallow guns. I have no problem with it but the business might see it differently.

In the past their happen to be guns in school. there was clubs based around guns, odd that back then people did not go around shooting up schools. That kinda happen after schools for the most part became gun free Zones.

Last year, I had a friendly visitor that wouldn't leave my rifles alone, just when we were about to leave.

Then a few months ago, I was able to find a Ruger MKI from a local auction.

Shootings happen all the time, so I believe you are mistaken. After all, this is not some intruder bursting in, but the students themselves, 99.9% of the time. In any case, I do not see the connection between gun free zones and increases in gun shootings, but rather the failings of the public school system and mental health in general. You could say their is a correlation, and you may be correct, but there is also the changing landscape of society.

After all, if school shootings are done by students, would it not make sense for students, who immature and anger prone, to be deprived of this right, much like how you supported a travel ban on Muslims because a few of them bombed our cities? What need do students have for guns? To be some hero? Bollocks, this would only confuse the officer stationed at the school, and most students are not combat experienced anyway, which is entirely different from shooting a gun at some deer.

I support a source officer having a gun. I just do not see the evidence for your claim.

I never really got the appeal of any of the AK variants floating out there. Having handled more then a few I just don't understand.Especially the earlier variants that fired from an open bolt, what drunken Soviet thought that was a good idea? Not to mention those AK mags with a slot cut into them, hello dirt and misfeed problems galore.

New one on me about AKs that fire from an open bolt. I have more trigger time on an AK than I do any other weapon, probably my favorite platform. As long as you stay away from poorly made mags the AK is hard to beat.

I was looking for V6 to pop up with his gun memes I have 2 guns and no issues with guns
I do believe proper background checks should be used. There will always be someone mental or whacked that will fall thru the loop hole!

Those slot cut mags weren't some made in china knock off. They were military issue and popular with Soviet forces in Afghanistan during their invasion of said country. Also I can't forgive a rifle that makes it such a chore to keep rounds on target after 300 meters or so. It's competitor the M16 isn't such a chore to get accuracy out of, hell that garbage Brit rifle the L85A1 is easier to keep on target( when the mag isn't dropping).

I'm a fan of glock :)

if you are a woman or have small hands i would recommend these glocks or look for the SF (small frame) models
https://us.glock.com/products/sector/women

i will not go for a run around the neighborhood without my glock 26

i usually go to Wal-mart for ammo.. but Dick's Sporting Good will have some nice sale every now and then

http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/remington-umc-full-metal-jacket-handgun-ammunition-50-rounds-15remumc32t71grmcamo/15remumc32t71grmcamo
http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/s/weekly-ad

you will have coupons for $10 off $50 or $20 off $100 etc..

i got 20 boxes these-- $9.50 something (tax included) after coupon is a good deal. I'll go through 2-3 box every 1 hour of range time

@op

as or gun control.. this is a good video-- the guy is obviously pro-gun but the people in this video are funny..

"Common Sense" Gun Control Debunked! (Man-On-Street)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqJ_4YhYMhE

he also did a video asking random people on the streets of what free programs the government should provide for the people

you also brough up parenting-- that's an area most politicians will not get to.. since if you are talking about accidental deaths

i thought by now there is a law to require a license to have a pool or fence and gate around the pool. etc..

https://www.cdc.gov/homeandrecreationalsafety/water-safety/waterinjuries-factsheet.html

the common phrase they like to bring up.. Guns kill people so if I leave him/her in a room alone with a loaded gun .. the gun will kill him/her ?

i think they meant People kill People

what's that famous case.. affluenza teen ? who killed 4 people with his car while under the influence of drugs and alcohol-- not to mention the punk was underage at the time too!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethan_Couch

if you read about it .. tell me which one do you want to ban ? alcohol? increase the driving age? people should have kids? etc. .? what?

they tried banning alcohol..didn't work out well the other things.. they probably will not go there due to slashbacks

and i'm sure we have laws already .. but those laws didn't stop him from committing crime before killing those people ..

We got quite a few of old rilfes to military stuff hanging around, but 98% less gun violence or attacks.
But then again America or rather the US is having a bit issues around those locations some are from guns some aren't.

I wouldn't say that more guns or removing guns solves anything, then solving the issues between the people and the situations that could happen. (drugs, robberies, gangs to education)

Background checks are reasonable, the only people against background checks are criminals (Convicted or otherwise)

No, people oppose background checks because background checks can be nickel-and-dimed into un-passable Jim Crow gateways and used to strip rights from political opponents. It's not just criminals that oppose them. Or more accurately, many non-criminals are very, very skeptical of how they could be implemented in a way that positively identifies criminals, while not giving the government the opportunity to unjustly exploit the background checks to deny rights to law-abiding citizens. Also, background checks cost money. Also, the US already *does* background checks. You should know this, if you have ever purchased a firearm in the US (which is of course an assumption on my part). It's called the NICS check, and among other things, it is an FBI trace of your criminal record.

MadBovine wrote: I also keep around 1500-2500 rounds at any time. Not sure if this makes me a gun nut or not :/

Not really, I shoot that much in a weekend or at any given competition.
