Honeycrisps are my current fav but they are expensive compared to Fuji, Gala, Golden Delicious.

Lately my favorite apple is a variety called Jazz: cross between Royal Gala & Braeburn that tastes as good and firm as Honeycrisps at less cost.

Empire, Gala, and Cortland
Jonagold is best for baking, but doesn't keep long - best right after harvest.

Any apple right off the tree is great.
