My perfect partner would be someone who doesn't:

-irritate me by saying stupid things that they think are funny
-ignore simple instructions such as DON'T do my housework (they will do it wrong so just don't even try)
-treat me like i'm stupid (because i'm not)

The list goes on...but i don't see much point in imagining what my perfect partner would be like because he/she does not exist. Maybe i'll be lucky one day and find someone who comes close to it though.

dang bad experiences or what?\

and don't worry ... I WON'T DO YOUR HOUSEWORK FOR YOU

Yeah i've had a few bad experiences but that's not really something you can avoid in life. Seriously i kicked my ex bf out of my house because he did my housework, the thing that made me angry was the fact that i had only gone out for a few hours and before i left i had written a list of things he could and could not do in my house while i was gone and he just completely ignored it.! I was suffering from depression at the time and things like housework were a good way of distracting me when i was having a particularly bad day and i felt like my ex just wasn't very understanding of that.

Oh! another important one to add to the list, my perfect partner would be someone who doesn't:

-leave for work in the morning and then never come home (i was 4 months pregnant when this happened to me. That kind of thing is soul destroying and i wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy)

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that I was crying while reading it I can't imagine how heartbroken you must have felt, and having to go through all that while you were 4 months pregnant! Stay strong, dear *hugs* What heartless person would do such a thing?

I had my own share of recent heartaches but none of them was as soul crushing as yours. I thought I've found my soul mate but turned out I was wrong...

Someone with a good sense of humor, a good work ethic, intelligent, not overly materialistic, likes traveling, likes children, trustworthy, understands what a good work life balance is and likes the outdoors would be perfect.

As for looks, well obviously someone I find attractive, but I don't have any specific "check boxes."

When it happened, i was 17 and it was the most heart breaking and terrifying experience of my life because i was suddenly going to have to raise a child on my own but luckily for me i have incredible friends and family who supported me then and continue to do so now.

It's always heart breaking when you think you've found the one but it turns out you're wrong, hopefully you're ok??

Some one who understands and accepts me without a desire to alter aspects of my personality to suit their vision of me.

A man who knows how to be gentle with me yet strong and help give me order in life. Also, honest and not a god damn liar .

No matter how good of a liar you are you'll always get caught at some point

Even one of the times two girls only lived 10 miles away from each other slept with one during the day and the other at night and she never had a clue, granted the girl during the day knew from the start I had a girlfriend.
I'm a good manipulator and I am a great liar.
Everyone lies most people are just really bad at it.

That really is not something to be proud of.
