I have nothing against migrants as a person/people , I knewone who was a friend of myfamily for 50 years, he then got deported, it is their own fault, even if you live here for so many years and still don't try and get a citizenship? that's on them. not sorry.
sad? yes, I lost a friend but again its their own fault for coming illegally and then not even getting a citizenship

Lol...

Ahh the ol' law, decorum, and ideals before family type of relationship. One accompanied by proper posture at the dinner table, imported silver, and a strange formal discussion.

Not saying I know what you guys went through or how you felt but if my family knew someone for 50 years and they got taken away we would fight like hell for him. Law or not. Law is only good if it protects you and the ones you love...

also, only god knows how many of these are criminals fleeing

'Criminals'--- Mostly, expired visas.

It was a joke; Mostly. It didn't translate very well... I don't know your families relationship with the illegal.

I do know that 50 years is a long time to just be like 'whatever, your fault'. Yeah it is his fault. However, I think there is a difference between making a bad judgement and being a criminal.

considering you weren't there....
im saying simply it was his fault
im not however saying "whatever" I was upset , I do wish I could go see him though I don't have the money to do so
also I didn't say he was a criminal I was simply stating what happened, which was a criminal act, he himself howeverwas not a criminal

all im saying is , it happened, it was sad, there was nothing we could do

what part of "illegal' do people not get? Anyone can become a citizen. Those that are not need to become legal and if they can't they need to GTFO.

Seriously why is america the only one that puts up with this shit? It needs to end. They need to stop being walked all over like freaking pansies they have become.

You might want to edit out that "I have nothing against migrants" bit. Denying the obvious only makes you look worse.

Isn't that like the American thing to do? They've been doing it longer then either one of us has been alive . Why should she stand out from her countrymen?

I was gonna call bullshit but...

You "put up with it" because A) American businesses want it regardless of what they say on the surface and B ) A chunks of your economy are actually dependent on it as a result. No one is being walked all over. Quite the opposite. They're here because you have a demand and they are the supply. But there is zero political interest in targeting the demand because it doesn't make for a good perpetual scapegoat.

Doesn't matter how many walls you build or how many travel bans or other such silliness you enact this isn't going to change. Because when you get right down to it it's not that illegal immigrants are "taking" American jobs it's that Americans are giving jobs to illegal immigrants.

Case in point I live near a Tyson meat processing plant and they have to hire illegals to work the slime line because legal citizens just didn't want the jobs and the pay was very competitive, But it's very hard and repetitive work and from what I hear pretty disgusting

Not all people who legally reside in the US have citizenship in the US or need to.

Yep. Same problem in the whole agriculture industry and even the fishing industry. Americans just don't want to do it. They use to back in the time America was supposedly Great(tm). But not today. Whenever a state enacts some overreaching immigration measure it typically results in a labour shortage in these industries. But Americans don't step in to fill the void and wages aren't the problem. The illegal and migrant workers aren't being underpaid slave wages or anything.

People just don't want to work on a farm, in a processing plant, at a dairy, etc anymore. They're "above" that sort of manual labour regardless of how hard up they seem to be for a job.
