We lost both of the Lee's far too soon. I can only hope theyre in a better place and that others with their talents will keep emerging.

This, especially Brandon Lee's tragedy. Imagine if he was alive now taking on to his father's mantle. The guy was a legend in the making.

Lee was fast and stuff, did a lot to bring awareness of Asian martial arts, impressive physical feats, but he didn't fight for real so there's no way of knowing how good he really was. A lot of MMA champs and general instructors think he would likely lose if he stepped into a UFC octagon, even in his prime.

There's so many myths and stories surrounding Bruce Lee. I've heard a ton of them because I find the man fascinating. With that said he would get demolished in the octagon with a seasoned fighter. Like you said he had barely any documented fighting experience. Just rumors and myths with cool flashy looking quick moves. He was also more of a teacher and above all else an actor.

yes I new about that, I have always been into Bruce Lee he was my hero.. and one of the reasons I got so heavy into martial arts. That includes how he died. Also why I will not take pain killers, not even wen my Hip was shattered into pieces. I never ever allow them to give me pain killers. 'I recovered without them, got back on my feet without them, and went back to work without them. Even if I am in pain for time to time, I will not take pain meds.

I think Master Ip taught Bruce Lee all he knew, making Bruce Lee badassed. However, then Bruce Lee went from there, taking his badassery to ever higher levels of badassedness.

I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan, or at least use to be! I think his films are still fantastic in terms of his over all presence and power.

He studied philosophy although failed the course, taught Martial art lessons to many actors at the time, was in the Green hornet before Hong Kong made him a 'superstar' he was ahead of his time, and I love his charisma and dedication to the art of expressing the human body. I really hate the argument of Bruce Lee and a "Octagon fighter" who would win? This is silly as firstly, Bruce was changing the game to Martial Arts by not limiting oneself to one style. I'd argue that now MMA, is simply a style in itself now, because it's based in sport like UFC. And secondly, if that were to happen, I'm sure Bruce would have evolved with the time, like how he would train, eat, think. I'm not saying he would win because that would impossible to say.

Bruce Lee is still very much one of my heroes, if I may say so.

I remember asking about if IP Man approve Bruce lee's invention the Jeet Kung Do. The one that replied to my post was non other than IP man's students.. They told me they didn't witness but was outside when Bruce and IP had a sparring match, and that IP man defeat Bruce with over cross move?

anyway, they said that Ip man knowledged about Bruce Lee Jeet Kung Do.. They say its more of a way of.. Not Martial Arts. -shrugs-

Also they said something about Bruce Lee really got Assassinated by someone in Marital Arts Circle in China. I think its something to do with spreading the forbidden art to outsider (other than Chinese people).

Would you be so kind as to cite which MMA champs said as much? I would be amazed to know the person foolish enough to speak ill of arguably the greatest martial artist ever. To say nothing of the fact that a good deal of MMA artists list Bruce Lee as an idol or inspiration. As to whether he would win or not... I am on the fence about it. My own logic would tell me someone who has honed a specific art would be far superior to someone who is a jack of all trades in martial combat. We will never really know since Mr. Lee passed away at such an early age.

Give Credit where its due right? Would UFC/MMA/Martial arts even be a fraction of its current glory without the influence of Bruce Lee? I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone who would say so on the record.

To answer the original point of filmography, if I recall correctly, most of his action scene's had to be shot in slow motion (more frames per second) just to catch what was happening
