I've worn a AoT jacket a few places that weren't cons and I have a Natsu scarf that actually gets used as a scarf but that one isn't exactly obvious.

I don't have any anime clothes BUT I do have an Umaru Chan hood haha. It was my costume last Halloween, and I wore it to school once.

Finally, a water conditioner salt application salesman who appreciates anime. I've got a large collection of PVC figurines down in the basement section of this house. One has to walk past 100's of figurines to get to the water softener tank. Most of the time the people who show up do their job, hand me the invoice, go to the next client in the neighborhood. This time this gentleman, early 20's, mentioned the wall of AOT, RWBY, and other franchises present downstairs. We shot the shit all things anime for 20 minutes. Yea!

Other than this man, my postal carrier, my underage nieces / nephews barred from visitation rights no one else in the county knows of this collection. C'est la vie.

I never saw a point in telling people about it other than a few close friends and because they like anime as well.

Nobody is going to care, IMO.

I used to somewhat hide it, but the older I get the less and less I care what others think.
Other than my coworkers everyone else knows I watch anime, heck even my parents started getting me DVDs and other anime stuff for Xmas and my Bday. Now I'm meeting more people with common interests, heck finding random people to talk about video games or anime at my local coffee shop and university has never been easier.

You'd be surprised how many times I've had people go "Nice Dragon Ball Z Wallet!" or complement my anime shirts out in public.

Its best to just be yourself in that regard. Nothing wrong with being a Weeb, as long as you're respectful of the culture where it's from.

Frick, you might even make friends out of it.

PS. Here is my wallet. guardian of my money & soup packets.

Wear your weird anime shirt and be unique. Be different, and more importantly don't give a shit about what people think.

I sort of do. I won't wear an anime shirt or anything, but I'll admit to liking anime. I'm a girl, so it isn't like I'll get any flack for liking anime

I don't mind what people think of me anymore but no. I'd rather keep it at home and in private.

Went to the movie theater a few weeks ago to see Yu-gi-oh The Dark Side of Dimensions in my Seto Kaiba cosplay,... so that would be a yes.

Y'all are ballsy AF. Literally, only my best friends have any idea of how big of an anime/ manga geek I am. Most people know I still dig DBZ (and I'll even wear a Capsule Corp shirt) but no one would ever guess I cried over Shinagawa's graduation and can sing along perfectly to Donten. Liking anime is "weird" and I have a hard enough time with social interactions so I'm in the closet :/
