In my opinion it is something you should design yourself. When you go there, you can consult with the tattoo artist about ideas and they can draw it up for you. It should be meaningful but I've seen many others be perfectly happy with meaningless tattoos. I don't have one but I always thought Sailor Moon tattoos were cute.

Color fades after awhile and so does black ink. It might cost more to get the color filled in than just black. I think black tattoos with no filling to be the best kind because it really shows the workmanship of the tattoo artist if they can draw proportional lines. Also, black matches with everything. I'd also take in deep consideration where you want it to be placed on your body and whether or not it would look good there.

You can do this, why not. I recommend to find good and professional tattoo artist and make some small tattoo for first try. Also i think that artist must use rotary machine, like these - https://tattooist.com/collections/rotary-tattoo-machines, because this type of machine causing much less pain to the customer than the coil machine due to the rapid movement of the needle. In addition, rotary tattoo machine cause less noise comparing with other tattoo machine, which creates the psychological perception that the tattoo will be less painful.

If it doesn't hurt, it's going to be a sucky tattoo. Get full-color full-torso yakuza-style tebori inking, and get it done right. Hammered into your skin with a pointed metal rod.

My general opinion is: you want a tattoo? Wait a year and if you still want it and truly want it yourself then get it, don't get it for others and don't let others dictate what you do, but make sure it's something you still want in a few years

That's how I did it with my first tattoo, I was 18 but wanted it since I was 16 and decided to wait and see whether I wanted it badly enough.

Nothing wrong with tattoos. You just have to understand it's a big decision. Unfortunately tattoos in certain areas will effect your potential in looking professional. So still to something that can be covered since you are young.

I love tattoos i have 4. You must get something that you really like because its going to stay with you forever... one more thing you will probably become a tattoo addict after getting your first tattoo lol i cant wait to get another one

see if I do get one, I also can't decide wether or not it will be in color or not. Which is best to get?

Do not get color... It will fade more over time than black will. As well as black being overall easier to retouch if it needs it in the future.

Second fuck what your "friends" think. You really should only do it if YOU want it. Also make sure it's something you really want. Like decide if you'd want it then don't do it for 2-3 months and after that if you really still want it/decided you do not want it then you can make a decision. Really the longer you wait the better but it's all on you. I've been where you are and it's hard to be patient at that age.
