I remembered reading some stories that people who have won the.... lets say 60 billion dollar lottery ticket.. They were happy but after a while it become cursed!

Why? Because they'll ending up keep getting some guy/ladies knocking on the door saying they are their long lost Cousin, and their life have changed completely.. Their friends/Family members will keep asking them for money. Also the money doesn't last forever they'll ending up spending big and go broke! I read story that some winners mysteriously died.. =0

We cannot tell it'll be blessing or Cursed after we have witness our friends and family true nature.

If i win lottery ticket, of course I'll give half to my mother and I'll keep the other half. :p Of course she probably ending up killing me to get the whole money! :p j/k

How about you guys/ladies will you see it blessing or cursed?

More money is always welcome. 60 billion is one hell of a lottery. The stories are usually about smaller lotteries where peasants think that 10 million is a lot of dough, quit their job, and try to buy the stuff that actual rich people buy. The more careful peasants do some research and realize that they're still poor, just not dirt poor.

There is no such thing as 60 billion lottery; largest one was the 1.5 billion Powerball last January.

BTW, it is getting up there again. Next drawing is at 400 million.

I think most people who win the lottery fall into the complication that Kavalion mentioned: only winning a few million doesn't mean you're rich to the point you can purchase anything on the planet. Winning anything in the single/double digit millions means you can purchase a new house and car but you need to start stashing it and investing it correctly for it to amount to anything. If it were "$60,000,000,000" - I would consider it more of a curse. The taxes would eat you alive, first and foremost. Then you'd have to figure out how to invest it without getting conned by friends/family/etc.

If anything, I'd become a recluse and just go to work, then home. Some states won't let you accept lottery wins anonymously but that doesn't mean you can't purchase a house in another state or country.

Problem is, most people who buy ticket don't have a strategy if they win. So money sorta wasted. Also don't logically think about how their own life must change accordingly.

As for any Otaku... Think how many season 2+'s u could buy with large multi-hundred million jackpot? You could even buy out entire anime studios. Or game companies.

If u win large prize, the real object is finding way to "invest" that to make even more money. Or, at least, do things nobody else wants to do. Very effective, indeed...

Yeah it could be a curse.

But couldn't I accept the prize anonymously?

No, most jurisdictions require transparency, as a lottery is public funds. IDK y u would wan to, though. You could be famous, like Trump...

I would share my money with my family, and have fun threatening anyone that tries to bug me that isn't family.

Weather or not it is a curse or blessing would have to do with the one who wins it. And it can be hard to judge that until it actually happens.

Giving anyone that much money at once would bring about the possibility of corruption and greed.

As investing money, I would ask whoever handle the Retirement, if I can put most of the money into the Retirement.. I'm not talking about setting up Retirement fund at bank account.. Am talking about the Actual Retirement when you hit 65 or 75 to retire and you get your monthly fee. So the more money you put in, the more you'll get monthly.

I noticed lately there lot of Elderly (People that now retired) are working at Walmart as a greeter.. I ask one why she continue working even she get retirement money monthly.. She told me its because she got bored easily! Also she said that she want add some more pocket money since retirement monthly isn't enough! =0

I know some of you will think, naw I'll never retired.. you got to realize your body and mind will become dull.. Like you may get Diabetes and it'll make you half blind.. or something happen to your leg that you can't stand on feet more than 3 hours a day..

I would never win, mainly cause I don't play. Lotto is tax for people bad at math. That being said if i did suddenly come into a large sum of money I would just move to a new area were no on knows i'm rich.
