Depends on whether I choose to take the lump sum or monthly installments. I'd personally take the monthly installments in the longer term, rather than a large lump sum and be slapped with a luxury tax. Nobody that I don't already have a deep connection or blood relation with will be going to see any of it, unless I decide to establish a foundation that I find worth investing in.

Any large amount of income without a minimum 10-step strategic investment plan is not going to be considered a blessing; rather it would lean toward a curse, because emotionally weak minds tend to let leeches walk all over them in attempt to please the people that surround them.

Diversified allocations are key to making it a blessing.

Still a better chance winning lottery, then most people would get naturally to be of multi-million dollar status in life; so not really as bad in math as you may think, it is so...

It's a blessing if you just keep your mouth shut and don't give obvious signs that you've suddenly come upon a large sum of money

No, most jurisdictions require transparency, as a lottery is public funds. IDK y u would wan to, though. You could be famous, like Trump...

I couldn't care less about fame.

The wealth is enough for me.

This video shows how past winners have reacted and how they felt. I would that I would love to win it, but there are its down sides

Cursed, because my state is one where they reveal your name to the public, there is no option for anonymity. I would honestly take half of the money being offered, if I could keep it private.

It would only be a curse if people learned I hit it. I'd hire a lawyer to handle the deal anonymously for me to insure safety and then limit my spending not to go overboard and get noticed.

It would be a blessing. I could pay off all my college debt in one go while only putting a small dent in my new fortune. My immediate family isn't greedy so they probably wouldn't change much and I don't really care about many people outside of my immediate family. I could also buy land for my dad to build a house on like he wants. Then it would just be a matter of using the money wisely for anything else I needed.

I wouldn't give a shit if someone else I knew started acting like a suck up because I suddenly became rich; chances are I didn't like them in the first place all that much, since I am picky about people and tend to dislike most of them. I think becoming rich would just highlight what we already know: it's dangerous having too much of a good thing, right? Whether it's money, looks, intelligence, etc., people will try to manipulate you if you have something they want or find useful.

Blessing. Complete and utter blessing. Not needing to work? Doing whatever you want with your time? No worries about rent/groceries/debt etc.....? So long as you don't over-indulge and spoil yourself rotten, I don't see how you could have anything to complain about.

It could be seen as both. But I believe it would be a blessing, enrich your life and do the things in life that might not have been possible otherwise.

Blessing, call a financial adviser and ask reddit on how to help with the large sum of money. Curse be an idiot and blow it all on fancy stuff and sexy parties. Calling winning the "lottery" a curse or blessing is rather subjective, the "curse" is self inflicted.

Some US states you actually can be anonymous when you win. The three states with Powerball, California, Florida and Tennessee — require winners to disclose their names, which is the policy of most states that play the game. Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina allow winners to remain anonymous for lottery's. Every other state is standard.

Indeed I know, because me won a $1000 Second-Place prize (all but 1 number) one time in WA Lottery back in 2007, had to fill out info. Used some of the money to goto NC's "Animazement Con".

Although, wasn't Jackpot, I did win something significant, I suppose. Better then most...

Why? Because they'll ending up keep getting some guy/ladies knocking on the door saying they are their long lost Cousin, and their life have changed completely.. Their friends/Family members will keep asking them for money. Also the money doesn't last forever they'll ending up spending big and go broke! I read story that some winners mysteriously died.. =0

Just build a damn moat to keep out the peasants.

Anyone who is unhappy being incredibly wealthy is an extremely boring human being (the chemically imbalanced are potentially exempt).

Blessing. I could move to wherever I wanted, buy the car I wanted(even though I got a brand new 2016 car a few months ago), but I could pay that off and get an even better one obviously. I could just get the life I could get that I can't now. I think it would be a blessing is disguise.
