Crunchyroll does not officially comment or report anything remotely negative about it's service, so don't expect to find out what's causing this.Server capacity? DDoS? IT staffed by monkeys? Who knows, all we can do is speculate and wait for them to fix the issue in a year or two at the earliest.

Hi Prunestida,

Good summary. I'm getting the same sort of things. Also, in the last two days, CR seems to get hung up a lot. The page will load, but everything is blank. Sometimes, reloading helps, sometimes not. At any rate, I haven't been able to watch anything since Saturday afternoon >,<

And this happens a lot. It's the main reason I stopped renewing my premium membership. That and every time you report a problem (there was a video with a loud burst of static and everyone was commenting on it) they assume it is your fault and won't even look into the problem unless you do a bunch of useless diagnostic stuff first.

It has to do with the Cloudflare service is as far as I have ever figured out. Crunchyroll either uses a hybrid cloud or has hired Cloudflare to handle all there sever related operations. What ever the case it is unacceptable and needs to be resolved asap by one or both of the companies. There also need to be real solutions not just some hotfix's when resolving this ever growing problem. They could also help by letting their costumers know more when things like this happen and reassure them that they are working to resolve the issue at hand. Common business practices.....

It's not a Cloudflare issue. Their protection will just kick in, if users keep hammering certain pages, for example when posting on the forums.

And yet the isitdown sites keep saying it's up. Well my eight error500 pages just to post a single post is saying otherwise. it's just like IMGUR, their server's are nothing but potatoes hooked up to computers. one million subs is nothing if you can't handle a portion of them being online at one time.

Website has been buggy for months. Often I have to try to post a reply 3-4 times to get it to go through since I keep getting the stupid page error. Also happens when trying to enter threads or even watch an episode of a show. It happens on a daily basis and while I can still fully use the site it is quite frustrating.

Sadly when new members ask if this is normal I have to reply "you haven't been here long have you."

I mean I'll put up with it as long as it doesn't get even more broken than it already is, but I'm sure others will lose their patience and leave long before me.

Every time I try to watch an episode after a few seconds or sometimes minutes the video just stops playing and the video timer resets back to 00:00. I have to refresh the page for the video to play again and it sometimes plays from the start or just before it bugged out but then it happens again after a few seconds or minutes. I couldn't even finish a 20 minute episode.

I've had this issue before but not on this scale. Does anyone know a fix for this?

Do you guys think this issue affects watching videos using mobile data? I have T-Mobile and whenever I try to watch videos on the app it loads extremely slowly and buffers constantly. I've tested watching videos on other apps in the same places and they would run perfectly well. It's really frustrating that I can only use the app only when wifi is available :/.
