Absolutely it is. There's just nothing that can satisfy thirst better that good old aqua being put in your mouth when you're thirsty and dry as a desert. Of course, there are other drinks as well, but they are all have water as its main ingredient. So yes, there's nothing like H2O for that amazing feeling of thirst quenching. For me, my drink of choice varies by the season as during the summer there's nothing more excellent than ice-cold water, and during the winter green tea is my drink of choice, which requires hot water as well.

That depends on your definition of the term "thirsty". (I am fully aware of the fact that the original poster used the word in the traditional sense, but I felt the need to make a stupid joke.)

I've been getting dehydrated recently so I'm drinking a lot of water. To be honest after drinking water for a couple days I get bored and want something sweat like lemonade, or raspberry tea. I know it's just sugar water but i need the change.

Water tends to make me feel less hungry too, and its always good to have some refreshing water daily anyway, not mixed in like in tea or carbonated drinks. But

I guess having a fair balance of water and fizzy drinks/ flavoured tea isn't bad. Having too much fizzy stuff can make your stomach feel very acidy, so calming it down with clean water is good.

So many water fans, hooray \o/

I'll occasionally go wild and have a green tea, smoothie or an energy drink, but usually water is my go-to choice.

A nice cold beer will sate the thirst of any man.

Careful. People can get dehydrated if you overdo the beer, especially on hot days. I've heard news stories about people suffering from heat exhaustion from overdoing the beer on hot days.
