Hi! Does anyone know, or have heard news if Crunchyroll will be streaming King's Avatar? The trailer looks absolutely gorgeous, and the light novel is a fantastic read! I am really looking forward to it, and would like to support the show, rather then watching it through fan subs!

Any news would be great!

Thank you!

There was a post from Qidan that they will eventually do official english subs but no one knows yet. If you want to watch it for free, go to bangumi.bilibili.com and search for quan zhi gao shou. Through its in Chinese.

I don't know about Crunchyroll. I wish they would host it here because I like the interface and one easy place to check for updates.

For now though, you can get it through the publiser's official youtube channel.

Tencent (the guys who own League of Legends) is the publisher and the playlist for the anime is

and the Tencent youtube channel (99% chinese) is

For good measure, the web novel is officially translated at

Over the last few anime seasons I've noticed the growing amount of animated shows from China and or Taiwan on CR. Especially last summer w/ "Thunderbolt Fantasy" (and that was live action puppetry) and "Hitori no Shita the Outcast" being streamed on CR. Both of these were Taiwanese/Mainland Chinese co-productions w/ Japan. The King's Avatar (Quan Zhi Gao Shou) is entirely a Chinese production and it's impressing me a lot. It may not be polished as something out of A1 or Ufotable Studios etc.but it definitely delivers on the action and the story. Yue Qie and Su Mucheng look like a twenty-something Kirito and Asuna. It also goes to show that you don't have to rely on the convention of trapping the characters in a virtual world by an accident or a sinister mastermind a to tell a compelling story involving an online game. The characters reside IRL, they have interactions and are their Avatars when they're in game. They're grinding dungeons, fighting monsters, killing bosses, pking, braking records and leveling up and it's epic! I wished that CR was streaming this one; I'm putting it on the wishlist for future acquisition.
