I guess I would, but I've never been that friendly with my superiors. They tend not to associate with the peons.

There was a chili cook-off, then several cheesecakes. I'm still not sure how I haven't gotten in trouble for brining in spiked bake goods into work.

What would you cook?

I do a lot of northern European cooking and Asian cooking. You cant just make hamburgers and expect to really WOW your superiors!

Sweets are usually my thing to make. It depends on the season and occasion, etc. I'd also want to know what they liked. I could make just about anything if I really put my mind to it. So far I've made simple things.. strawberry shortcake, Mexican Lasagna, Cinnabon cookies, peanut butter cups, Garlic shrimp over rice or noodles, home made pasta. I'm eager to make a cheesecake sometime. Asian cooking looks so much fun!!

Sweets are often fun to make, but as I don't have an oven currently I cant cook them! I have made cheesecake before. It isn't actually too hard to make!

I had a TA who always brought me sweets before a test haha. She was pretty chill. She graduated with her Masters though. At least I got her phone number!

I think the hardest part with making cheesecake is waiting six hours for it to chill and be ready to eat.

It's cool that you had someone bring you sweets like that. I'm usually "that friend". I need one of those friends hahaha

I agree... it is the same way with most sweets! I mean, I may have to steal a bit of cookie dough, or cake batter. Time is a cruel mistress.

When it comes to cooking for people, I am more of the "cook a feast" kind of guy. I will have good alcohol, a two course dinner and let them bring the third. "That friend" is actually quite hard to find. Most people my age cant seem to cook a real meal. They can do basic stuff like hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza and all, but ask them to make Japanese Style Curry (without store bought roux) and they will stare at you with blank eyes.
