Generally it is rude unless you're inside the house and everyone talking and who is hearing it, don't mind it because everyone knows each other.

To be more precise, if its your immediate family members its generally okay and not okay.

Otherwise it is rude outside the family, but depends on what you're talking about as well. It depends on how close you are, and the ages of the people talking. As adults, we really don't care that much unless its sensitive topic or discussion.

In this world and modern day, people forget how to be considerate and caring about others.

General rule of thumb, please be considerate of others and have a heart. Even if you may not think about it all the time. Better safe than sorry as they say.

If you find people who have bad habits, learn from it and avoid doing the same thing. It's simple but still.

Yeah? That's like holding a speaker phone to someones face while asking them to spill their secrets.

I do it time to time to troll someone when with a group already, granted peeps pretty friendly about it. i find it rude but won't stop me from doing it occasionally

It is when they put it on speaker and move around while talking so that you can't here anything they say clearly, especially when they proceed to get annoyed when you ask them to repeat themselves.

Should have a "sometimes" option. For example, if you are having a personal conversation, then YES! If you are by yourself, then no. If it's just a quick call which has no meaning besides like "grab some milk on your way home" then I would say it isn't rude. Depends on who is around.
