For past few days I can't load any videos on crunchy roll app For my android phone. I tried doing with mobile data and Wi-Fi. Video will try to load but will stay on black screen with 0:00 and get nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Same phone same issue. I've cleared app data, and cache. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. I'm able to use the phone to stream to a chrome cast but it will not play in the phone itself.

If you are on Nougat 7.0 then the app doesn't work. The workaround is the VRV app or the beta HTML5 player for Premium+ members.

It's been e days since downloading the latest update for my Galaxy S7 and still can't view any videos. I've tried turning the device on and off, clearing my cache, and even reinstalling the app. Can someone please help me.

Still same issue. Doesn't crunchy roll have admins or put anything out. Paying for a service that I can't even use

What version were you updated to? If 7.0.x, see the post above from DigitalDeviant.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ellation.vrv

Just create an account on VRV.co (it's a sister service to Crunchyroll, created by us), go to the settings, link your VRV account to your Crunchyroll account, then install the VRV app and watch your Crunchyroll content.

Do you have to use the VRV app? or will the problem with the android app be fixed?

You'd need to use the VRV app. Linking accounts won't magically fix the CR app.

If the Crunchyroll team developed VRV and the VRV app is working, why is the fix for the Crunchyroll app taking so long? Is the VRV player that radically different...?

I don't know, but I just canceled my premium payments until this gets resolved since I mostly like to watch on my phone during my commute.

VRV uses CR's CDN for mobile apps, rather than the CDN used for the website Flash player.
