I'm curious about how people view them.

Personally I find them bland but do people appreciate the unified look with the familiar trademarks of the characters the like?

I think that a "unified look" can be done well without looking half as bad as I find POP! figures. There's been a recent popularity in contrasting POP! figures with nendoroids due to the sheer quality and aesthetic gap between the two. While I understand that nendos can be out of the price range of many, mini nendos exist and could become more popularized in the west.

Not a fan.

I prefer Nendoroids or Kotobukiya's Cu-poche line.

I don't mind them, some of them are nicely done. They are quite simplistic looking in cases (which is i'm sure the whole jist of them) but I think as more anime-series POP! figures are released, they'll get better in quality. I like the style and the aesthetic much, they are almost comical and some are very well made (imo) for the look they are going for. I.e. the Cowboy Bepop figures, those are well done. Same goes for the DBZ and One Piece ones.

Not to mention, they are something quite affordable to collect, seeing as how you can buy one for $9-$11 USD, and often times there are deals for buying 2 and getting another free, etc.

Meh I actually own a few, mostly the Game of Thrones Ones and the Star Wars ones. I usually pick up a few when I am buying or picking up something at EB Games as they usually have quite the selection of them. I've even bought a few game related ones .

I think they make a nice contrast to the more expensive figurines I've begun collecting. In fact I've got a Jamie Lannister one balanced on a sword stand I've got near my computer desk and he's looking right at the screen...I was bored the other day.

I only own one (Finn from Adventure Time), but do find them kind of cute. I want them to do Yuri On Ice figures. I'd buy them for sure!

They're seriously God awful and I can't understand why anyone thinks they look like anything other than a bucket of dirty scabs and puss.

Thanks everyone I am appreciating this input. Yeah Nendoroids and Cu-poche are really pretty figures I own a few and enjoy having them but I feel some characters translate better than others into that aesthetic still but I guess that's part of the nature of figures.

Yeah, they have potential but I personally dislike the asthetic/style of the figures.

I think its the lack of emotion in them that makes them so bland. I own one of Disgust from Inside Out and I actually like her. And I'm sure it's because she has a mouth and it gives the figure personality.

While I'm happy seeing figures being more popular in the west, the fact that it's Pops is a bit of a downer.
