Bought a Macbook, and I can't use Crunchyroll on it... :\ Safari opens It up and everything, and went to watch the new Gundam and it says I need to download, or have a up to date Javascript/Adobe flash... but, the fact of the matter is everything is updated!!! Does anyone has, or had this issue?

Yes, I have done that as well. The thing is it says it's enabled. So, I disabled it and re enabled it. Still no luck :/ everything works on it! YouTube, Hulu, and other streaming sites. I don't know :/

if it still doesn't work even if flash is enabled, then idk

maybe your macbook is haunted, and the ghost living in it doesn't like anime. that's the only explanation. :/

Long time viewer, first time posting.

Was trying to upgrade to VRV but I can't figure out whether I would lose access to Crunchyroll through my web browser on my computer. Since I watch the service primarily through my desktop and laptop computers, does it make sense to change my relationship to Crunchyroll through VRV?

I do occasionally watch Crunchyroll through my Roku and wonder if my subscription to VRV is still the best choice or should I just keep my standard Crunchyroll account.

Any perspective would be appreciated.

From the way I understand the announcement about linking Crunchyroll and VRV accounts having an active subscription to CR on VRV and linking your accounts would also grant you Premium access on the CR website and apps.

Since VRV is not available in my corner of the world (yet?) I can't speak for the quality of their lineup or their prices compared to the standalone CR subscription.
Someone from the US may want to chime in on that.
If you're mainly relying on the website my gut feeling is that it would be best to go with whatever option is cheaper until VRV rolls out their webplayer (or more account linking options, whatever happens first) and then reevaluate how the services match up when you factor in additional VRV channels and the money those might save you vs independent subscriptions to the content providers.

As mfritsch said earlier, you can link your CR and VRV accounts together to share premium access, whether your subscribed to Premium or Premium+ on CR, or to the Crunchyroll channel or the Combo Pack on VRV; you'll get access to CR's content on both services.

Unfortunately, VRV only has support for four platforms right now: Xbox One, PS4, iOS and Android. But like I said above, you can use the CR web player or the various apps once you've linked your accounts. And once CR's HTML5 player leaves beta, it will likely be implemented for VRV to add web support. But at the moment, you may not get much use out of linking to VRV.

The monthly cost of CR premium on VRV is still $6.95/month, and there are no other subscription plans, just monthly. The best value would be to cancel your subscription on CR, and sign up for the Combo Pack, which is $9.99/month for 8 channels, including CR. But again, you may not get much use out of that plan at this time if you don't have one of the supported platforms.
