I don't see why they wouldn't since they got the first season.

Funimation pipes up and says, "Hey, remember what happened with Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul"?

Short of TV Tokyo titles and perhaps Aniplex of America titles (because they are less likely to grant exclusives), I wouldn't consider any sequel season of a standard length anime a completely safe bet at this point.

I specified "standard length", as there is no indication either Amazon itself or Anime Strike have any interest in short form anime.

Summer isnt looking very good, not compared to the awesome spring and decent winter we just had.

Exactly. Amazon snatching Bahamut just proved that they don't give a fuck who has season one.

Simply put, it's all about the money. Amazon has a ton of it as they have billions in their budget while Crunchyroll only has millions. I have to believe that they tried to get the Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia sequels all for themselves, which forced Funimation to empty their wallets, leaving them without enough money to get the Rage of Bahamut sequel.

I was watching somewhere around 20 diffrent anime this season. 15 were really good.

Trying to not be insulting but im blunt so take what I say as me just saying facts as I see them. Not trying to cause a fight.

Many, MANY people here are armchair critics (maybe a few real ones). The same as people who review movies or books for a living. real critics opinions are pure GARBAGE for an average person. They have been trained, schooled, and taught that things must follow a certain flow, that it cannot have 'blank' or cannot have this. Its not art, or its bad story telling, or its bad animation. If anyone likes it. "Its ok to enjoy garbage anime now in then" is their catchphrase, or something similar. Just because they have this standard, doesnt make them right.

I consume media, tons of media, books, video games, movies, anime, regular TV. If I tried to stick to a critics standard, I would be bored as hell. I would have nothing to enjoy. Most critics cannot just feel the anime, enjoy it for the show it gives, let the story just take them along.
No. They analyse it, pick apart its flaws, and judge it as inferior to 'X'. 'X' being what they set a standard by. That should be the exeception, not the norm.

Beyond my opinion on critics and critic culture. Everyone has diffrent likes and dislikes. Some people liked Kemono friends, some liked Kado this season. Some people liked that Rokugo stuff last season that I would fall asleep while watching. They are all good and bad anime. No one is "right". But again some people try to force a standard by what THEY consider is right.

What was shown this season was a ton of extreamly good anime, well done, fun, had me enjoy my day and something to look forward to when I came home from work. Out of the 20ish, 5 were meh, did not have me entertained that much, while id say 4, maybe 5 had me not able to wait. Had me really, really want to know what comes next or I knew would make me smile all episode. Those were my execeptions. If I only watched those 4 or 5, I would of missed out on 15 other stories to experience. (This is where anyone can insert there "my time is valuable" argument and thats why they only watch the 'best' shows.)

TL:DR - They are all good anime and they are all garbage anime and people should accept that and enjoy what they can, have fun. Unless you want to be a critic. Then go post your narrow opinion somewhere other critics can read and discuss it, because you will just be dissapointed with the normal crowds of your average viewer.

Yeah maybe I came off as too sarcastic but I'm honestly asking your opinion on which shows you thought were really good

I finished (or will finish) 20 shows too and of those only AOT, Saekano, and Rage of Bahamut do I consider really good. The rest were on the good(MHA) to OK(Tsugumomo) to wish I had dropped it (Sword Oratoria) side of things. I did drop stuff I thought was really bad (Clockwork Planet). I'm just surprised someone thought there were that many high quality shows, though it seems on these boards people are very reluctant to criticize anything. It's art it's meant to be criticized I don't get the problem.

At least it's not Amazon so I'll be able to watch it legally and not have to wait a month.

And this is exclusively going to Sentai's new service. At least their two shows weren't worth the extra subscription, but now they are through with Crunchyroll for good. I'm still on the hook for Anime Strike this season, but I was hoping that I don't need to add Hidive. At least it's a cheap subscription, but they say that the price isn't going to last.

Sentai have Made In Abyss and it will be on Anime Strike. It should be on HiDIVE for those of us outside the US.

So i might say it safe to assume Kakegurui is heading to netflix ... since made in abyss was rumored to be on amazon and now the rumor turned out to be true ... It seems no subcritption renew for me since it seems most of the shows that i want to see are heading to other places and not crunchy .. Already the shows that i wanted to see are not gonna be here : Welcome To the Ballroom , Fate Apocrypha , . Made in Abyss and most likely Kakegurui
