That doesn't matter to me the information i learnt is still valuable to me personally.
I'm becoming a programmer no matter what there is no other job for me i am willing to work or can work
I start university at the end of the year for my diploma.

The only things outside of technology are physical stuff and i do not have the health or body for any of that nonsense technology is where i am capable.

There is nothing outside of STEM worth doing i would rather stay unemployed then ever be a shop cashier or an office worker or working in fast food ever again personally ;)

If I could start over I would've went to pharmacist school.

Heck I didn't need to work my tail off on an engineering degree.......

You have any idea how much a pharmacist could make?

yes i do but i don't want to be a pharmacist so i would never study for it

Destruction of all powerplants, factories, radio & satellite communications, and digital databases, so that people would actually have to rely on themselves and each other, and help out some.

Some real things we could see is the theory of the "immortal" human. by roughly 2040~ medication in theory, would be advanced enough to heal a body of all sorts of ailments (though the price is probably out of reach for the vast majority). Right now, they are working on a pill that delivers nanobot technology to the body which travels around and repairs your innards which can greatly reduce aging and help (if not cure) things like cancer.

What I personally would like to see is our first space traveling ship like in star trek. I know it wouldn't be exactly like star trek or travel as far/fast but I would like to see a ship capable of traveling outside of our solar system. We are seeing now private companies plan trips around the moon. It won't be long before we start colonizing other planets or turning them into space stations/check points for continued travel. I hope the private trips to the moon will eventually drop in price as I would love to take one some day.

I want AI to be officially created. That or quantum computing. Both of those could make video games rad.

It wouldn't exactly change the world, but fully immersive virtual reality games would be fun to experience (think SAO nervegear tech)

You're thinking small time. Imagine what could be done in the educational, medical, or military branches if we somehow figure out full immersive VR. But to do that we need some higher level tech, which I think would involve AIs or quantum computing. We're kind of at a technology wall right now.

I wrote my dissertation on the potential use of virtual reality tech for training surgeons so do have a vested interest in seeing how it develops and affects education/medical industries. But from my personal perspective I'm honestly more interested in the gaming aspect and seeing how far we can go to achieving a full immersion and out of body experience while exploring different worlds and experiencing different lives.

We're still at the early stages with VR but the potential is there for it to have a significant impact on the world like you suggested. With processing power improving every year and new ideas / brilliant minds coming along all the time, who knows that the future holds?

Nothing really tbh, I would say what's on my mind, but knowing this place, I'd rather not.
