I take great care to be skeptical. Science, itself, I'm comfortable with. The human element? Not so much. People are assholes. Evidence can be tampered with. Data can be misread. Scientists can be bought. Science can be utilized for horrible atrocities. So, yeah... I'm going to question whenever I see fit to.

I certainly do...However when Humans start putting dates to things like via carbon dating and even the Worlds relevant History that was taught in Schools and stuff and has since been shown otherwise. But in general...Yes, I most certainly do.

It depends. Much can be backed by scientific evidence; but, then there's the things that science can only hypothesize and the research funded by interest groups that could be presented with a bias.

I feel that some of the science is kept hidden. While not knowing who are funding these people. If only they would work together, things would be a lot smoother. While the people who holds the information is kept in power. Something tells me that these information should be shared.

Nope, life is just coherent nonsense and cause of that nothing is worthy of faith in my view, not even my own assumptions.

It's not faith when it's backed by strong evidence.

Pretty much. There's also that "science" frequently refers less to specific statements about this or that themselves and more to a process by which information is obtained and conclusions are reached to inform those statements, but it is a point worth making that when "science" is used to refer to specific statements about this or that these are by definition not statements that amount to articles of faith. They're necessarily statements that are falsifiable, repeatably testable, and substantiated by the available evidence.

It was inspired by an engineering teacher I had.
he said "I don't know where he got these numbers but Newton was very smart so we don't question it."

You're right, the question is badly worded.
I asked about research in general when I meant to ask about how readily the readers accept other people's research and the question took on a completely different meaning.

I'm close to a bachelors in science based major, so I do have upmost faith in Science and it's methods to find a conclusion. I love working in labs, feeling like Stien's Gate and should yell "I'm a mad scientist yo!"
