Good Saturday afternoon everyone. I started re-watching Eureka 7, Zatch Bell, Charlotte and School Days (*shudders* don't what I was thinking), etc. Some still remain pretty good and some others feel as if they did not age well or altogether (still) didn't make any since.

So what are some anime that you have rewatched and did you still have the same feelings towards it or did you criticize it more now that you have seen the show again?

Omg School Days, such a lovely show in my opinion. But to your question. If I've re-watched a show it's because I loved it to pieces lol, but yeah I had the same feelings while watching it but maybe I saw it in a different way while watching it the second time? idk really sorry for vague and kind of confusing reply haha.

Would you describe it more as RomCom or Slice Of Life?

I think I'd say romcom but it's a hard choice. overall I think it has more romcom in it though. what do you think?

IDK about life but there's definitely slicing going on.

I haven't seen it. Just curious your thoughts since you described it so glowingly.

IDK But you'd have to watch and see ;)

Don't actually watch it, you'll hate it to bits. Nothing enjoyable about it.

I've rewatched a few things.

FLCL I've seen at least a dozen times.
Yuri!!! On Ice I've watched at least three times (2 subbed, 1 dubbed), and several episodes I've watched more than that (I've shown episode 1 to several people, so I've seen it about 7 times).
I've watched Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro several times each.
Fullmetal Alchemist twice, almost three times (see below).
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi twice.

I usually watch anime when working out (I have a handmade rack mounted to my NordicTrak that holds my iPad), and I either watch sports anime (good for motivation) or rewatch something. I've rewatched all of Free!, the first seasons of Noragami and Durarara, and about 3/4 of Fullmetal Alchemist (before it was removed from Netflix) while on the NordicTrak.

Do I feel the same about these on repeated viewings? It varies. FLCL becomes more easy to understand on repeated viewings. Still freaking amazing, and my all-time favorite anime. I like Yuri!!! On Ice the same, but maybe appreciate it more fully on repeated viewings. I was relating a little too strongly with Yuuri on the first viewing, and that made it difficult to see some of the humor.
Free! I liked better the second time, the motivations for why Haru and RIn were whiny little shits was a little clearer second time through!
The larger structure and story arc of Durarara was much clearer the second time, and it was a lot more obvious that

So, it appears that I appreciate anime more, not less, on repeated viewings.

I have re watched Hunter x Hunter quite a few times, I really wish Togashi would quit leaving fans in limbo.

I usually find it hard to rewatch things. Or, not so much hard but more that I just don't have the interest. The same goes for video games. Even if I really enjoyed the first experience I'm often content in just leaving it there. It's the rare anime/movie/game that I click with on a deep enough level to make me want to experience it more than once.

For anime, though, I've watched Love Live a few times and there are a few arcs in the original Sailor Moon that I have watched more than once (though in that case it's just specific episodes and not the whole thing). I've also watched the original Bubblegum Crisis and ADPolice series more times than I can even recall.

I rewatch things constantly. Usually when I'm working, I'll have an anime or opera that I've seen a bunch of times on as background. I know most of my favorite shows almost by heart at this point...

I sort of play anime like music that way. I put it on when I feel like listening to it. Like now, I have Acca episode 3 in another tab. A lot of shows, like Acca, K, Code Geass - most of my favorites - you really should rewatch them, because things seem so different knowing who knows what, and who's really doing what. Acca episode 3, if you've seen episodes 7 and 8... (hint: no, those strawberries were not there for Schwan).

I just like spending time with characters I like. It doesn't get old if I like the shows.

I've also been rewatching Marginal #4 a lot. I'm so glad there are two shows I like this much this season. There hasn't been even one for a while. 1 in 2014 and 1 in 2013...

I second that. Holy hell I don't want to wait 10 years for another adaptation that has 300 episodes starting from the very very beginning

I've rewatched plenty, it's great! You catch all the small things that passed you by the first time and they mean more. I typically wait over a year to rewatch an anime unless I really really loved it but the more time you give it to rewatch it the better experience it will be. Just like a tolerance break.

I've rewatched:
Shingeki no Kyoujin
Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi(Erased)
ReZero(Loved it too much to wait that long)
FMA Brotherhood
Akame Ga Kill
Ao no Exorcist
etc etc...
It's great to re-experience things you loved in the past if you can't fully 100% recollect the experience

Oh man, I rewatch shows a ton. Pretty much, as long as I don't hate a show, there's a chance I'll rewatch it. Some of my favorites I've even watched 4-5 times (I'm pretty sure I've rewatched Code Geass maybe ten times by now). Sometimes, I do it when I'm playing games, especially if I'm grinding in an RPG or something.

As for whether it affects my opinion, not really. Sometimes rewatching stuff will let me notice things I didn't the first time through, but that doesn't usually affect my opinion that much.

The main time my opinion changed on a subsequent watch was Eureka Seven. I don't what it was exactly, but that show went from being 'pretty good' to one of my favorites after rewatching it a couple times. To a lesser extent, there was Clannad, but that was just that I didn't cry nearly as much the second time through (although that damn field of flowers gets me every time...).
