I've rewatched Space Dandy a few times since it aired. It's one of my favorites, but I feel like the first time that i watched it, I had enjoyed it for the wacky sort of show that it was, always doing something different and doing it really well.

But after watching it again, I appreciate the show a lot more. Sure there is plenty of shtick strewn about through the show, but some of the quieter moments in the show are incredibly down to earth. Dandy had such a nice outlook on things and I do miss that in some shows.

Not to mention how visually appealing some of the episodes are, it could be damn pretty at times.

I feel like the first time I watch an anime i focus a lot more on the dialogue since i actively have to read subtitles when I watch it, but once i've already seen it once, the dialog can take a bit of a backseat to the heart of the show: the animation. Which is why some shows, I feel, don't necessarily have as large an impact the second time you watch them. It's almost the same with movies, watching them again can make you take a bit more time to think about the folks behind the camera.

I've rewatched a couple of series. I typically don't have different feelings the second time around. Usually the same parts I enjoyed the first time I still enjoy the hell out of now.

But what I do end up doing more often than rewatching the entire series, is watching either one episode, or one part of an episode I enjoy out the entire series.

Like an example of that is C - The Money of Soul and Possibility Control. I pretty much like episode 4, the fight between Kikuchi and Mikuni. And I'll just watch that scene lots of times, because I honestly don't care about the rest of the series.

I rarely re-watch anything, anime or otherwise. Same with books, etc. Often this is because the plots rely on some surprise or twist which once you know takes away any reason to re-watch it. Claymore is one of the few anime I can re-watch over and over. Especially the Theresa/Clare arc which despite knowing the ending it's just so well done on the journey to that end I still enjoy it. High School of the Dead I enjoy re-watching because I think I have a soft spot of B-grade zombie stuff. Freezing I enjoy the first 7-8 episodes for the combat sequences. Of more recent anime I've been re-watching Heavy Object and Interviews with Monster Girls. Both have characters who interact with such great chemistry their stories are almost secondary to dialogue.

I suppose when I think about it it's great character interaction that really draws me back to re-watching anything. Absent that once I know the story I'm not all that interested in seeing it again.

I never re-watch anime. Even the shows I really liked. I tried re-watching some but I don't make it far and would rather watch something I've never seen.

I rewatch several shows, but rarely do I watch something more than twice as I just don't have the time for it. I buy some shows on BD while I watch shows again to see the dub. I generally watch roughly one out of every four or five shows again, and it's rare to watch more than that.

I recently rewatched Kiki no Iru Machi cause Crunchyroll has it now. Gave me the same feelings as the first time, as the same feels as the manga gave me....hatred towards the characters.

I recently rewatched the Nanoha series, and I think I appreciated them a lot more the second time around.

I kinda recently rewatched Zettai Karen Children and I definitely had more fun than the first time. Same goes for Katanagatari.

I usually have a better experience the second time I watch an anime series I liked - but I can't say I re-watch the ones I didn't like very often. I notice more details and dialogue, which makes me like them even more. I honestly can't think of an example where I re-watched an anime that I initially liked and had a more negative opinion afterwards, except maybe the likes of Naruto and Bleach - too drawn out, and re-watching them fills me with the urge to skip episodes to get to the content I love.

I rewatch Yu Yu Hakusho and Baccano fairly regularly. Trigun is also up there. I find the two older shows hold up well for me, including the dubs. They're actually still good without having to throw nostalgia in. FMA 2003 and the Ghibli movies also fall in this category.

I'll rewatch Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh, and despite the obvious problems with the dubs, I still enjoy them. The guns being edited out of Yu-Gi-Oh still cracks me up. XD
The Digimon 01 dub is so 90s it's glorious. Same with the soundtrack for Pokemon the First Movie. I hate pop music (90s or otherwise), but it's just so nostalgic.

Saint Seiya is such an over dramatic, formulaic shounen with power levels way out of control, yet I still enjoy it. The dub is bad, but freaking hilarious at parts.

Some shows that I've found haven't held up as well are Sailor Moon and Voltron. Both dubs leave a lot to be desired. Sailor Moon is also a filler riddled mess compared to the manga, which didn't stand out so much when I first watched it. Tried to rewatch Voltron when I saw it was on Amazon, but couldn't get through the first episode. I loved that show as a kid (the remake is an acceptable substitute).

Dubs are really important for rewatchability for me. I mostly rewatch shows when I'm multitasking, so subs aren't too useful.

I seldom rewatch an entire season (let alone a whole series), but I do tend to go back and rewatch individual favorite episodes of series I like. The Tokisaki Kurumi episodes of Date A Live are always fun. I've rewatched episode 5 of Kyoukai no Kanata more times than I can count. DanMachi had some awesome rewatch moments. And there are a ton more, spanning an incredibly long list. In terms of older anime, the only one I really rewatched in large amounts is Pokemon. Particularly the Kanto and Johto arcs. Also, anything having to do with Perfect Cell in DBZ, because good lord that guy was a BAMF. And DBZ Abridged made him even better XD

I don't normally re-watch a show. The only time I do this is when I stop a show partially way, and I want to remember where I was. This is something I am considering doing more often.

Most of the time, my view of the show doesn't change. If there are any changes, it is usually due to age. Many shows I watched when I was really young and I couldn't tell a good show from a bad show, or what made a show good. After re-watching some shows, i find that since i have matured more, I see some shows in a completely different light.

I do rewatch shows, but mostly those I really liked and discover new things when rewatching them, I also tend to rewatch shows when I forgot 70 to 80 percent of it. Like I did with Monster. I binge watched the show like 3 years ago (20 episodes a day lol) and even though it's an amazing show, I wouldn't be able to recall any of it. Definitely need to rewatch that one.

I re watch stuff sometimes. Somethings I enjoy more than others sometimes you know stuff upon re watching that make it enjoyable in a different way than the first. The age aspect has never really bothered me sometimes it adds to the experience or is charming in it's own right.

I love rewatching anime as there always tends to be new things to discover that I missed first time around. I will watch pretty much any anime I enjoyed in the past knowing all too well I'll still enjoy it. I just finished watching Steins;Gate and Robotics; Notes recently as well as Kanon, Another, Ground Control to Psycho-electric Girl, Nagasarete Airentou, Ah! My Buddha, and like a dozen or so others. This week I plan to rewatch Blade and Soul and Riddle Story of the Devil among others.
