Probably some shenanigans from one of the girls.

Anyways, awesome piece LobsterHarmonica! Kazuma looks pretty handsome here. Did you sketch something first as a reference or just sketched in-process?

I didn't really have much of a plan overall for this one - mostly I was just eyeballing it from the s1 opening and adjusting the features to fit my own preference. Oddly enough, I did look at photos of Robert DeNiro in Raging Bull to get the look of someone who's taken a few hits in the face, so maybe some of that came through?

Looks great so far and I love the fact that you actually looked at photos of Robert DeNiro to get the 'beaten-to-a-pulp' look down which is reaaaally cool! Love the realistic look you gave Kazuma and the somewhat darker tone of this picture overall which is an interesting take on the series as qwueri already mentioned. Which is a great contrast to the show with it's usual colorful and bright setting.
Just wondering, do you livestream your works? It'd be really cool to watch you create your works

Thank you :)

I've never actually tried streaming anything live though. It's something I'm curious about, but I worry that watching me repeatedly drawing, erasing and redrawing a hand for half an hour wouldn't be much fun... >.>

A friend of mine does it too and she's had a lot of fun with it so far. She streams on picarto and says that she likes the interaction with like-minded people and has also made a lot of friends through that platform. I don't know about other platforms tho, but that's the one she told me about and from what I've seen so far it definitely looks fun, mainly because of the interaction and having real-time feedback from others.
I really enjoy watching others stream and I try to interact with the artists as much as possible

Having had a think about it, I've decided to give Picarto a try. Did a test stream with some lineart earlier on, the highlights of which are up here: https://youtu.be/aFx7QYJJRk0

And I'll do some more tonight around 23.30 GMT/UTC https://picarto.tv/AntiHeroArt

Kinda short notice, I know, but I had some time tonight, so... eh.

awesome! Unfortunately I couldn't make it to watch you livestream... How did you like it? And what did you do on your livestream?

I followed you btw!

Hah, I saw that - thanks :)

It was certainly interesting though. I did some character sketches which didn't turn out too well, but it was fun being able to interact with people while I was working on them - normally I find drawing or painting a pretty solitary experience, so it was a welcome change.

I've saved some highlights from it as a youtube video, so unless I've got anything else to put up, I'll post that at the end of the week.

That's cool! I've looked it up on YouTube and you did a pretty good job for your first stream imo. I especially liked the martial arts lady's facial expression. Glad you had fun too!
