- Bennett signing with the Packers is a huge upgrade for them.
- Jags already had a pretty good pass defense, and they improved on it with Bouye.
- Eagles finally get a decent WR in Jeffery.
- Gilmore is a great pickup for the Patriots.
- Colts get a solid pass rusher in Jabaal Sheard.

Bengals fan here

I haven't paid much attention to the draft yet. I'll just wait what happens but I do hope that they improve their OL.

Bengals fan in Germany? That's quite the combination.

I haven't really paid much attention to the Bengals, but I'm honestly shocked that they haven't had more success. It feels like they've had superstar talent all over that team (Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, AJ Green, Vontaze Burfict, Tyler Eifert, deep WR/RB core, etc) but no real playoff success to show for it. Is it a case of injuries or something?

I wish I could watch the first three rounds of the draft. I'm not a fan of it being on the weekdays, since I work 2nd Shift. When it was on during the weekend. I would sit there and watch it all weekend, lol.

Yeah I know ^^
My boyfriend got me into football (he's a Seahawks fan btw) and I somehow ended up supporting the Bengals.
To be honest, I don't really know how that happened xD
But it was one of the first teams I came in contact with because I knew someone from the US who is a Bengals fan.

There aren't many Bengals fans in Germany though. Football became more popular over the last few years but it's still not that big of a thing here and if you find someone who is interested in football they're most certainly not Bengals fans ^^

I think the majority of football fans here supports the Patriots, the Seahawks or the Steelers.
I've also seen quite a few Packers or Cardinals fans.
You see a lot of people with Raiders caps here but it seems that it somehow became a type of fashion accessory which really sucks, especially for those people that are actually fans of the Raiders.
I really doubt that most people wearing those caps know about the sport or the team which is pretty sad.

I only got into football at the end of 2014 so I can't really tell you much about the last few years.

But the Bengals actually had a pretty good season in 2015 but unfortunately Andy Dalton broke his thumb in week 14.
That could have been his first playoff victory but it can't be helped. Maybe they would have lost either way.
AJ McCarron took over as quarterback and he wasn't particularly bad or anything but he was too inexperienced and having to play against such a tough team as the Steelers in the first playoff game was just too much I guess.

They only show two sunday games per week in German TV so obviously they don't always show the Bengals games.
In 2015 they actually showed quite a few of the Bengals because they were quite good and they had more popular matches like the Seahawks or Cardinals. I usually listen to some radio station if they don’t show the game on TV and if I have time to. Because of the time lag it’s not always possible for me.

I haven’t actually seen many games (though I listened to most of them) of the past season but it's harder to judge if you haven't actually seen what happened. At least for me. And I'm just not that experienced because, as I said, I haven't watched football for that long. So I don’t feel as if I could really judge why they sucked so much.
The defense wasn’t that bad but the offense was kinda disappointing. Why though...I don't know...

Of course they had also problems with injuries.
Burfict was either injured or suspended (that guy really needs to learn how to control his temper), Eifert wasn’t there when the season started because of an injury and it took longer than expected for him to return and when he finally did he wasn't as good as everyone had hoped and Green had some problems too as far as I remember.

Oh well....let's just wait who they'll draft and how that works out next season.

So, I did a mock draft.

I'm sure almost all of these will be wrong, but whatever.

Bengals have 11 picks tied with Browns for the most 2017. Probably will get a RB and OL first 2 picks

I skipped through the article to see who you put for the Colts. I think they'll trade down and draft someone on the defensive line, because our Dline sucks more than our Oline.

That is true. Colts were hard to pin down because they need help everywhere except QB and WR.

Thanks for reading!
