welp, I unsubed from VRV so I could re-sub again to see if it would help, but now it's not letting me sub to VRV again.

I just get an error and tells me to refresh.

Update: I think I now have premium on Crunchyroll.

In VRV, under 'Premium Memberships', Crunchyroll is listed alongside several others.
In VRV, under 'Link Accounts', Crunchyroll is listed as NOT PREMIUM.

In Crunchyroll, I'm able to watch HD content without ads.
Lastly, here on the Forums I have the crown denoting I'm a premium member.

So I believe I have a Premium Crunchyroll subscription through VRV; it's just that the Link Account page on VRV isn't registering that for some reason.

I don't remember this being the case yesterday, so maybe it took some time to register me properly...? In either case, I should hopefully be past this issue now.

Seriously? I'm having the same problem.

When I first cancelled everything was working fine and dandy. Then I leave town and come back... to this? Seriously, what's the problem?

This freaking sucks... I already hate the interface of vrv, but I want to like it for saving me money. I'm on CR for most viewing... But VRV telling me I need to be premium, though I'm premium in settings is really...Really frustrating.
Submitted a support request, got a bot email, waiting for hooman interaction.

Yea, I went through the same process of testing out VRV.
It's buggy and there is no way to interact with the individual hosts streaming sites.

VRV is essentially signing up to have the content of all of their providers, but of a reduced quality and limited to the systems they provide content for like PS4 (no web browser client yet). You have to use their video client. It would have been smarter of them to host VRV as a bundle pack that provides links to the host sites. Crunchyroll is still the only one that feels worth it to sub to independently. So instead of dealing with that hodgepodge I just resubbed to crunchyroll.

It's a cool idea, but they need better content and they need a smarter system. Half of their stuff is basically youtube videos anyway lol.

Secretly hoping crunchyroll drops out of VRV because it seems like a bad business model to lose subscribers to a cheap bundle pack and I want crunchyroll to be eternal.

Crunchyroll and VRV are part of the same parent company: Ellation.

I tried VRV for all of 10 minutes before I unsubbed and came back to just CrunchyRoll. Like one of the other posters said, I'll probably just sub to CR and Funimation separately and deal with the cost, because 1) VRV doesn't have a PS3 app (my system) 2) there's no way to start a queue or a watch list in the VRV system/app and 3) it had SO MUCH TROUBLE finding my crunchyroll premium account. It found it eventually but it was such a hassle.

I'll stick with individual services until this all gets fixed, improved, and sorted out. v(^^)

I wish I read this forum post before canceling my CR premium and starting a free trial on VRV.. now i just have this mediocre app to work with. At least it works with my chromecast from the app... but it took a couple minutes to get up to full resolution. And CR isnt showing premium anymore.. i accidentally canceled it instead of just stopping the sub.

I'm in the same situation now. Just was informed that my premium access to CR has expired.

If I hadn't used help chat and SPECIFICALLY asked if this would happen before I entered into this mess, I would perhaps be less angry. I even offered to keep both subs active to avoid this issue and throw some more support to the company I like, you know?

I'll be contacting Help again, but if they can't get this sorted in short order they will certainly lose me from one service, and maybe both. I guess I can go back to buying stuff on BluRay after the fact.
