Yeah, my little brother and I shared rooms all the time when our family would travel. I used to tell him these stories I'd pull out of my ass but as he got older that was replaced by watching late night television and riffing on it in tandem. Probably a good upgrade.

Yes. It was horrible.

Basically, I'd been used to a room of my own, but when we moved (when I was around 13) I had to share with my sister who is a year and a half younger than I. That was an especially tough time to get used to having a roommate. It wasn't as big a change for her as she'd previously shared a room with my younger siblings. However, I was more of a bitch than my other siblings, soooo. Anyway we were both pretty miserable.

After a couple of years my dad built rooms in the basement, and roommate-sister moved into one of them. Yay!

On family vacations when I was little my older brother and I always had to share a room. We got along okay. He always had comic books around and he would let me read them, so we would sit quietly and read mostly. We did that at home too though.

I didn't get my own room until I was thirteen, and my only real complaint is that my younger sis used to snore.

Yeah up until I was 5 and then I wanted out and my parents removed my bunk bed from the top and put it in the living room and I've been here ever since. I remember once my brother was watching public access TV late at night and it was there right on the TV...Bewbs I was intrigued to say the least, and my brother found out I was awake and told me to look away...I peeked through my covers

I'm pretty sure that if you had siblings, you slept with them in the room. Children don't take up a lot of space, but real estate doesn't come cheap.

Yes, I had to share a room with my younger brother growing up. We had bunk beds for the longest time.

Yes, she hated it. I had no idea what to make of it.

I still do. There are only 2 rooms in the house: 1 for our parents and 1 for us. There are 2 bunk beds inside our room and the right side are for the boy's and the left are for girl's. The only one not with us is our baby sis who sleeps with our parents.

I'm fine with it all actually. I get to talk to my siblings before bed and it's not that creepy when you're with people. My only complaint is that the room gets messy when there are a lot of people and everyone is lazy.

Shared a room with my two brothers, than I lived with one of my brothers in living room for awhile. Eventually ended up with my own room and everything is so much easier to keep organized and clean.

Another lucky only child here
I've always had huge bedrooms all to myself (once an whole floor). However I did sleep on the kitchen floor for a couple of years, can't remember why...
