Introvert by nature, extrovert when I need to be. (Usually in business/work situations)

I love hanging out with friends and meeting new people, but classic to most introverts I 'recharge my batteries' by spending time alone.

I've always kind of been this way, but it really took off in my preteen years.

Introvert. I've pretty much always been that way but had a sharp spike of it during highschool...
I've taken a lot of pain in my life, more than I wish to remember or talk about and so I just don't cope well with new social interactions. I can deal with things when I have to/need to, but I'd rather not and often feel like mistakes I've made are somehow drastically important and will think pointlessly about them for a while afterwards...

Introvert unfortunately

I'd rather be an outgoing extrovert

I strongly lean towards introversion. I've pretty much always been that way. Being around people is exhausting.

This. With the exception that I'm ambivalent to meeting new people or spending time with friends.

I was outgoing as a kid, but it switched around in my teens. I'm still good at faking extroversion during work or social events (I'm told I'm quite charming, at least), but it's tiring and ultimately I'll start snapping at people if I go for too long without any time to myself.

I'd call myself a covered up extrovert..

When I had friends I was always outgoing and stuff like that, just a happy person overall and I showed that through my unlimited energy; practically jumping, singing, talking constantly.

But after losing almost all of my friends, I got very introverted.. I just became a very quiet, solitary person (I even became pretty shy, and I can't talk to people that easily anymore, and stuff that basically involve social interaction are almost a no go to me). I don't like being introverted but I don't think I can change myself anymore at this point.

meh, not like the outside world matters anyway....right

I consider myself an introvert. Largely because I don't like people all that much. I can handle communicating with them, but I generally don't like people. The reason why I am like this is down to past experience when growing up. I'm used to isolating myself and doesn't bother me in the slightest. I do have friends but I am very selective.

75% extroverted, 25% introverted, a mostly accurate depiction, since i already get enough alone time as is, and don't need much to keep me stable

A bit of both. I love being around people at times shouting and having fun, but sometimes I'd rather just sit on my own and read a book.

I think of myself as an introvert. Though, I've taken a few online tests and they consistently say that I'm an ambivert --- not even leaning towards introversion or extroversion.
