I don't understand the character class Porter aka. Lilliluka Erde

So you choose to go in a dungeon and pick up stuff for other people. Is the thought you'd be able to get more scraps off following a higher level player around then you could gain on your own?

Lilliluka Erde can fight we see that happen. why wouldn't she just adventure by herself or in a group. It felt like she was forced to be a porter. That she couldn't be anything else.

It's like a cross between a support class and a mule. As I recall, the franchise doesn't have dimensional pockets or bottomless bags, etc. so fighting effectively in melee while also weighed down with supplies and loot wouldn't work out too well. Prior to working with her, the protagonist was extremely limited in how long he could venture out and how much loot he could carry back.

For the porter, it's a way to earn money in the dungeon at somewhat diminished risk to yourself, since you're not in the front line.

If you've ever done a mining operation in Eve - it's like flying as one of the hauler pilots instead of a miner or security. It isn't glamorous, but it needs doing for the operation to be more effective and profitable as a whole.
